What is the difference between omni and temasek 4.4?
Both also rom Kosong without the usual 'extra' features?

i just flash temasek cm11.
seems very smooth. amazed at the camera animation smoothness. at first glance, all the usual aosp custom features are there. seems like daily driver material. |

QUOTE(salimbest83 @ Nov 30 2013, 09:20 AM) been using temasek 4.4 for a week already. Temasek 4.4 really seems good on first glance. so far quite stable rom only my camera sometime gave error " unable to connect" reboot to solve it for me. my home wifi also not really like cm11 on slimbean 4.3 , its works fine just flash build 29/11 will see how its goes All those annoying stutters in bowser and camera in 4.3 has been solved. Consistently silly smooth. But temasek also have introduced new bugs -cnt set lock screen widgets -camera is super smooth and with photosphere but only takes 640*480 resolution? Even 3rd party apps also take low resolution regardless of settings -secure settings totally don't work at all. Breaks so many of my useful Tasker profiles. -can't copy my ringtones to system/media, no apps can write to system even after given root access -there is a half second screen lock delay. After press power button. Phones takes a noticeable delay before it start the cat effect and screen off I flash temasek v12 with banks standard gapps Due to said issues reverted to Slimbean 4.2. Once back, I don't feel the difference also since both are smooth and I have kitkat theme on with transparent nav and status bar. 4.3 aosp still laggy even already end of development. But 4.4 aosp roms are really looking good. Almost daily material even after just one month. Probably next month will be stable already. This post has been edited by mtxx: Nov 30 2013, 12:05 PM |

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ Dec 1 2013, 12:09 PM) guys, i installed cm 10.1.3 stable on my s3, and its pretty good, simple and fast compared to the stock rom..here what i did to install (please inform me of i did anything wrong and how to correct it) your installation steps is correct.1. install clockworkmod recovery 2. send rom and gapps to sd card 3. wipe data can cache from recovery menu 4. install cm and gapps. thats all right? am i missing anything? and any gapps version is ok right? not the triangle counter is at 3, do i need to do anything about it? thanks edit: also, how do i install future cm roms? gapps cannot simply install. need match the correct android version. cm10.1 is android 4.2, install this gapps gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip from here http://goo.im/gapps if want to remove triangle counter, use triangle away app. its pointless tough if your warranty is over. 4.2 roms are very stable. great for daily use. here are some tips to make it better. battery usage in settings will report very high "android OS" usage. this is a real wakelock and is a bug in all 4.2 aosp roms. flash yank kernel to fix this. you will see improvement in battery life. http://yank555-lu.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=...63001beab776c5e yank has his own forum, need to register. download "Yank555.lu-CM10.1-v1.6f++.zip" for cm10.1 when you use aosp rom, you might encounter "cant connect to camera" error. this happens very rarely. maybe once a week. when it happen, non of your apps can access camera, a reboot is required. to avoid a reboot, install this app http://temasek.hopto.org/Samsung%20Galaxy%...tart_Camera.apk it instantly reboots the camera and makes it available again. cm10.1 (android 4.2) already has a stable built, meaning its the last built. no more future versions for it. if you want to install newer cm such as cm10.2 (android 4.3), it's better you factory reset and reinstall from scratch. |

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ Dec 1 2013, 03:02 PM) thanks for the tip bro, now my itchy hand want to install cm 10.2 on this phone..have you tried the 10.2 nightly build? if yes, how is it? i did not go for 10.2.android 4.2 aosp are very buggy for me. all this time i was using slimbean (android 4.2) since the default browser and camera very laggy for me on 4.3. if you use chrome instead of stock aosp browser, and you prefer your own 3rd party camera app, then 10.2 should be good for you. only yesterday i start using temasek 4.4. so far so good, browser and camera very smooth. |

my god this omni rom so hopeless.
nothing inside. even root access also dont have. first time flash custom rom that dont have root. need to manually flash chainfire root zip. this is the most bare aosp rom. its practically pure aosp. xda forum people say need xposed module. i install the so called best xposed module, gravity box, get back some features but dont have the ones i mostly use. the irony is, 'omni' suppose to mean ALL and yet its the most 'nothing' rom. cant stand it restore back temasek v12. oh ya, one thing omni developers very smart, since aosp browser always fc when enter incognito mode, they remove this feature from their aosp browser |

QUOTE(exwan @ Dec 2 2013, 08:50 PM) why would u flash rom that is still in development phase? Because I'm using temasek 4.4just wait till they fully implement all their feature. which i think should be ready by end of this month or early next year. It's stable and very consistently smooth. Gives me confidence for 4.4 Wana try out other available options see how good they are. With cwm backup, there is no harm at all. I have the free time so why not? Easily restorable |

QUOTE(exwan @ Dec 3 2013, 06:17 PM) Temasek rom also in development phase. Everything in xda-developers also consider under development. It's just an excuse. It will always be in development stage until the next version is out. Then they just put stable tag on the last previous build. So yes every rom will get compared with each other. Regardless under development or not. |
