here's a teaser of what I did the last 3 days.
Can't believe I managed to pull this off. I attempted to build a LEGO Transformer using just ONE official set (power mech, link below). and not a big set somemore. http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=31007-1 Will post more photos ,and instructions this weekend =) Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(yhlee12 @ Oct 25 2013, 11:54 AM) Now you mentioned it..... hmm.... yeah I noticed that now.. coz the long car nose I guess.QUOTE(aba9785 @ Oct 25 2013, 11:56 AM) Oh nope. This Power mech is tricky. I once tried to make a MOC transformer using power mech + creator racer + city mixer..... but failed. Then I put them aside.Only recently I was in the "mood" to try again after isolating them. -------------------------- Yay! finally got more of photos of this MOC of mine (yesterday teaser I forgot to connect the "fingers" to the back of the vehicle mode) As usual ,visit my blog for the complete photo gallery ps: instructions maybe in next week or two.... gotta OT in office later... hu hu hu This post has been edited by alanyuppie: Oct 26 2013, 09:52 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

Its about time ! Been years LEGO didn't produce a City scaled car transporter. I would aim for Airport Fire Truck and tow truck as well. The blue tow truck is very refreshing. Haven't seen a blue LEGO truck in recent years.

QUOTE(dilvin @ Nov 4 2013, 02:58 PM) i got a theory to add on to the "hikmah" This TRU was once located in Subang parade but business aint so good.. they made clearance and it last for weeks I think , until they moved to Empire. got my Exoforce at 70% back then With the rumor that ALJ sole distributorship ended feb/mar 2014 + ALJ new lego shop in BV2 + this Empire sales highest ever discount ever given for Lego ALJ must be recalling all their Lego stock in all TRUs and continuing having warehouse sales till all stocks are cleared! Why have to clear all stock? ---> Becoz "new distributor" will introduce much lower retail price * feel zzz after heavy lunch..in dreamy-mode too |

QUOTE(faish888 @ Nov 13 2013, 11:18 AM) Its not hard actually. buy a 3d printer, alot of raw material... then we can roll off 1x2 lego printed $$$ tiles. But this will probably kill off the City theme. No baddies, no robbers... no police. |

OMG... I'm packing my bags. QUOTE James Colmer, 46 years old, had a reason for spending two days building Legos in Denmark, leaving behind his kids in Australia. read more here: http://online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB1000...193901642418812He was applying for a job. Mr. Colmer was one of 21 men and women who came from around the globe to the small town of Billund last month to compete for a job as a Lego designer. The Danish company has an unusual method of filling this position. Rather than conducting formal interviews, Lego invites the most promising applicants to its headquarters to sketch and build Lego sets in front of a panel of senior |

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Nov 22 2013, 01:55 PM) Thanks for the report bro. I think whether any particular big set that ends up being 50% depending on its sellability. If the police station sold like hot cakes, they needn't apply further markdown. This Avenue K "Set of the Week" promo is a gamble for buyers. Imagine you buy a big set, like say, 7498 Police Station for 35% off. Then one day they have it at 50% off! Just my 2 cents. My prediction (dont take my word for it, pray with me!!) .... the Lone Ranger Train set seemed like unmoved last week in Avenue K. I'll wait it out =) |

QUOTE(maxilife1 @ Nov 22 2013, 04:48 PM) And this minifig + riding small vehicle also hits LEGO SW as well. There are new balljoints there I can harvest for future MOC. Hopefully the price wont be so deterring .I remember this idea was introduced in a Cuusoo entry before (superhero + their own racecar/mini vehicle). I suspect LEGO takes a cue from there. |

QUOTE(paanjang16 @ Nov 23 2013, 02:54 PM) Thanks for taking photo. Last night was there to set up. The lighting was not so good so no pictures. The technic took up more space than anticipated. Wow how I wish I can exhibit my MOCs there. Did not haul anything since no money tree. I also put my ninja dragons there too. anyway... from the price list.... duno its good or bad news for me. Good is .... most of them does not appeal to me (jimat $$$) . bad is... I still need to scout for sets with light grey bricks to complete my MOCs. Wargh... dirt bike transporter is the best option so far... but still , why that also so little number of those parts?? This post has been edited by alanyuppie: Nov 23 2013, 03:02 PM |
