Personally I find LOTR theme more fitting as a medieval theme for AFOL than the current Castle theme, it is "darker" and more detailed if you get what I mean. The present Castle theme is great for kids but for AFOL it just don't have that oomph...

Don't get me wrong, it's nice and I did contemplate getting it (the dragons are cool) but I find LOTR more to my cup of tea...

Hi all,

Would like to ask for opinions. Is it OK to buy used, complete sets from either local or overseas sellers? This is in relation to EOL sets.

MISB prices are so high for these EOL sets, and recently I came across some good bargains on EOL sets which are used, complete sets which are on my wanted lists. Any tips to share on what to look out? Many thanks.

Would like to ask the tax for carrying(hand carry) LEGO toys across JB custom (into M'sia)?

Is it 10% for toys? and no tax if item value below RM500?

I kena 1 time the custom officer told me if I'm working in SG I am not entitled to get exemption even if the value of item below RM500, moreover the board notice in JB custom stated very unclear that 'all' goods will subject up to 30% tax except tobacco,liquor, drugs.

Thus, I kena 1 time 30% but I underquote my item since no receipt brought together.

Use coach bus...with gf, ask her to hold 1 of the lego so that I can argue we each 1 lego only..

The lady officer, damn!  ...above argument also cant.

Gotta settle fast else the bus wont wait too long..

Anyone here into Megabloks? How's the quality?

Saw some Brickshow videos last night on Youtube that they got the "Call Of Duty" license. I don't play the game but they are coming out with 2 "COD: Zombie" sets: one is a farm (sounds familiar?  ) and one seems to be a zombie pack. Each zombie seem to have different designs. 

And the military stuff. Looks pretty sweet. Humvee, Little Bird chopper ... I like the black Navy S.E.A.L.S! Weapons (rifles) are customizable too! 

Minifigs are bigger but with more articulation ... 

Might pay more attention to some of these sets ...

Then you should not make it visible as a NEW box. Anything new in mint-box is a magnet for Customs   
Better to go through local sellers here, save all the trouble.

Mega blocks.. bought the big pieces one for my son.. after seeing him play those and compare the ones from duplo.. that's it no more mega blocks. Kre-o quality better but still Lego the best

I have the small KreO Bumblebee & Prime, their bricks I think are better than the rest of the KO brands.
