QUOTE(buggeroff @ Oct 30 2013, 03:36 PM) Btw, I noticed that there're two version of EV3. An Education kit and Home kit. One is about 2k while the other about 1.3k. Is there differences between them or Lego just trying to rip off schools Based on what I know is that education got a few diff sensor with home edition, a plastic tray to sort the parts, a rechargeable battery (not sure), I think u can find cheaper education set out there, sasbadi should b charging high price because they are the only appointed seller for education ev3 in Malaysia EV3 Home kit looks cool tho. Maybe I should save up to get it for myself.. I also heard from some expert EV3 fans, 1 set home ev3 and 1 set education ev3 combine tgt is the best for MOC |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Oct 31 2013, 11:11 AM) Best is of course the recommended EV3 education rechargeable battery. ok thanks, i will read the the thread u share earlier, but i not sure is the EV3 education rechargeble battery compatible with home edition notOtherwise, have to use typical rechargeables in the market like Eneloop, Energizer, GP, etc. But these batteries are normally at 1.2V compared to alkaline 1.5 Therefore, 6x 1.5 = 9V 6x 1.2 = 7.2V, which is at the low-end. I've wrote a few long posts on these batteries in previous few threads. I just bought a 9V adapter, but no time to mod it yet. |

QUOTE(Seriously @ Oct 31 2013, 01:45 PM) imho, Eneloop so far the best in terms of capacity and better charge-cycles ok, can share how much the battery cost? Eneloop got many types of batteries or only 1 type?QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Oct 31 2013, 02:21 PM) EV3 rechargeable battery is compatible with all EV3 sets. Can take out that and replace with AA when run out of juice. do you have any idea where can i get EV3 rechargeable battery? and i saw that have to buy charger separately also right?BUT EV3 rechargeable battery is not compatible to previous sets like NXT, RCX, etc. I have a bunch of Eneloop AAA and AA now. QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Oct 31 2013, 03:22 PM) This whole lot cost me about HKD $ 245. I think the most expensive one was the Gingerbread Man which I paid HDKD $ 60 for. Around RM 24. Lizard Suit, Gorilla Suit and Frankenstein about HKD $ 55 - 60 each. wow, the gingerbread man so expensive la, mayb christmas is coming so it selling fast Grabbed it since I was looking for the whole bunch there. I have some other minifig pics I took when I was at In's Point. Prices varies and unfortunately all shops had prices on display. Especially the sets. CMF Series - Those without stickers means sold out. I can't remember if all the CMF pics are from 1 shop. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Other minifigures and polybags » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by bloodghost: Oct 31 2013, 06:03 PM |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Oct 31 2013, 06:34 PM) Beware got Eneloop and Eneloop Lite. Also got higher end versions like Eneloop XX so far I can't see any rechargeable battery selling in ebay, amazon or bricklink, i read your earlier post but i still dun get how to MOC it, I'm technic noob and i never own any technic set before, can you show me how it look like after MOC? and the cost is around how much? The standard one also got 2nd/3rd generations and sub-models, depending on latest batch number like HR-3UTGA-BP Applies to both AA and AAA. EV3 rechargeable batt, I think easiest will be through BL (if available). Not easy to go through education line, and our local sasbadi cut-throat and may not entertain us also. If I really need a permanent power, I'll mod with an adapter. I'm doing that for my Technics stuff now. |

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Nov 1 2013, 03:23 PM) yeah, I just check BL, maybe still new, nobody selling. Or could be NiMh import/export or courier regulations. it just use 8 aaa batteries (MOD) compare to the original 6 aa batteries can extend the battery life a lot longer?Do note that EV3 battery pack will make the EV3 box 1 stud thicker/higher, i.e. compare with when use 6x AA. My Technic battery pack mod in spoiler. It's previous photos, as I have not have time to work on this further. I just bought some new connectors and the 9V adapter recently from Pasar Road (Pudu). » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
