I hope the Land-Rover Defender 110 will make also since it's still under review
If they do this, I'm gonna get myself a couple sets! I love the Defender!

here's a teaser of what I did the last 3 days.
Can't believe I managed to pull this off. I attempted to build a LEGO Transformer using just ONE official set (power mech, link below). and not a big set somemore.

Will post more photos ,and instructions this weekend =)

got some free time, so decided to DIY the ribba display cases for minifigs that i saw on IKEA hackers site...the materials been lying around my house for a while. looks like it should be simple diy
Thanks! I had been looking for ideas on how to display my mini figs. This looks really great! I guess it's a trip to Ikea this weekend smile.gif

Found this on the website after seeing your post. http://www.instructables.com/id/IKEA-LEGO-...-Case/?ALLSTEPS
Is it the same as the one you used?

However as for the strips....measuring, cutting and connecting it seems like ALOT of work hahaha....  sweat.gif

However, it maybe problem to source in Malaysia (and expensive). You can try source from SG or other countries, through the education line, and not the retail/commercial line.

So far the only place that I saw this was in the KLIA terminal (inside the local departure) with all the other Lego sets smile.gif

QUOTE(leo730 @ Oct 30 2013, 02:33 PM)
yup, 2X2 white bricks. Coz it blends in perfectly well with the white art card. I use the art card so that it can withstand the weight of the bricks (& minifigs) when glued on.  thumbup.gif

Thanks. Now I have a mini project to for me to do smile.gif

everything you need, is in the ribba frame itself, i didnt need to buy any artcard/panels etc, no cutting involved, if you make the same size as the one i posted. For the bigger ones as per your link, yes you will need to build the supports

its just my personal taste, but using stuck on lego bricks look really horrible to me, it hurts my eyes. i like it to look uniform, hence the straight shelve, instead of individual lego bricks (also, u can play around with putting more or less minifigs, but if you stick the bricks on, u are stuck with that configuration)
*
Hmmm... i guess i have to go see what are the frames available. Thanks for the tips! biggrin.gif

Went to the TRU sales at Empire Mall this morning.

Sets are going for 30%-35%.

There around 10 sets 9493 X-wing and they were gone in less than 5 mins. I didn't have a chance to see the price also haha

They are selling Star Wars, Lone Ranger, Chima, Hero Factory, Friends (small set), City and Duplo

My stash from the TRU sales in Empire Mall smile.gif

still have a lot of stocks?

Yup! They are going for 35% discount. There were still a lot of sets when I left (around 15 each). But then the crowd was getting bigger and Im not sure if they have any extra stocks that are not on display.

should i go there now hmm.gif
is the discount still available tomorrow?

If I'm not mistaken its until the 10th.
Personally, I'd suggest to go there today if there is something specific you are looking for. Otherwise, it might be out of stock since they are going for 35% smile.gif

Interesting and heard rumours before that The LEGO Group will start distribution. Perhaps that's the reason for all the sales recently - Clear stocks from warehouse and recover as much as possible.

If it's true, maybe there will be sales all the way until early 2014? Empire is just the first site, maybe sales in other malls coming soon if ALJ see there's good response?  hmm.gif
*
Hmm if Lego Group is distributing, would that mean that we get to enjoy the exclusive gifts as well? smile.gif
