any of you guys know how to make it so that LED lights couldn't "shine" through a keycaps? so that when led is on, all you see is the glow underneath the keycaps

Why? Material matters I suppose.
Typing in alu case is totally different feeling  icon_idea.gif

One doesn't simply ignore the advantages of costar stabiliser, pbt keycaps and tkl layout.

That's the winning point. BTW, from this website:
http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a220m...840165edcd783de

I can't find white LED backlight? No white light offered? And seems like no red switch. Thinking of grabbing red or blue switch. Too bad Choc mid have Filco like cable. sad.gif
*
i believe it's the metal plate that they use in keycool. makes the bottoming out sound really orgasmic (i can't imagine how it's like on kmac...ugh!)
and yes, typing on those big modifiers with costar stabs on metal plate gives a better feel compared to cherry stabs.

Better than Shine 3, but not sure the quality. First time I heard this mech kb since I'm new.

fuah...gamer look and lala bling bling quite strong in this one. but the doubleshot backlit key is gooding, plus legend doesn't look overly gamer. (except the winkey which uses their "gamer" look logo.)
but why the heck they no use red switch!

Will be very well, printing a keycaps using 3D printer is totally under utilize the printer.
I should bring some 3D keycaps to some industrial exhibition in PISA stadium and ask for the booth to demo print out some free Brobots and CC lol.
*
when? i wanna go n see also tongue.gif

most common 3D printers are able to print mono colours only or single colour, depending on the colour of the plastic roll. but of course there's better 3D printers that is able to slot in more than 1 plastic roll to print different colours in one printing.

the school i'm working at just bought a 3D printer, prints out stuff quite impressively accurate. first thought in my mind after seeing it at work is, must try printing a keycaps with it! biggrin.gif
but it's using ABS plastic. hmm...ainuddin which thread on GH u found the measurement for the casings? the DIY thread?

Don't you ever under estimate our last security self defense systems - the heavy mechanical keybords!
*
place a hammer case keyboard with brobots and cc caps on top of your room's door so when kyrmian walks in, he gets hammered in the head when the hammer board drops.

I thought there are some come bundled with your keycool?

If you searching for the real Costar one, I think you should visit WASDkeyboard. They sell both the mounts, insert and also wires.
*
yes, there are some bundled with my keycool, but i broke 2 of the inserts already.
if i were to get from WASD, i would need to find someone from US who's coming back to Penang to pick it up for me.
