mates, how do u change the front intake 12 cm fans?does it have a screw,or clip or something?because i dont have anything to attach it except by some minimal mod which i dont have any idea for this time being.
Added on May 14, 2008, 1:15 pm@bigblock,do you have nay worklog of yours?Im interested to mod it too but i have no experience in modding at all.But i could give it a try.How long does it take for you to convert your casing to BTX? This post has been edited by syahirax: May 14 2008, 01:15 PM |

QUOTE(Bigblock @ May 14 2008, 02:20 PM) Should be able to find the screw bro, take one as a sample and find in hw shop to compare.Glad you like my case hi there, the problem is,when i bought it the front 12cm doesnt even attached at all.So yeah, kinda clueless what kind,or how long the screw is.As for the rust, ive just tried autosol(found old one in the toolbox) and it works like charm. But i wanna avoid using it too much.Anyway,i think im interested to mod the casing, ive looked at your worklog, and theres some question about it.I really dunno how to remove rust from allu But i have washed my case with water and dried it by wiping the case with a towel...no rust thow still.I never polisted my allu also coz my mobo area hav been sticked with carbon fiber a)when you turn to btx, does it meant the easy lock on the cd rom bay couldnt be use?so meaning we have to use screw?and if you noticed the left side of the cd-rom bay are bigger/much space, because it hold the motherboard tray.SO meaning,if i want to convert it to btx,i have to connect it directly to the front, and bottom part of the casing?Hope you could understand what im trying to say. Thanks in advance Added on May 14, 2008, 5:58 pm QUOTE(amd_hardcore @ May 14 2008, 02:26 PM) to remove the rust from the alumunium... yeap,it works.AUTOSOL rocks:Du can try use AUTOSOL... i have used the autosol n its work... my case now is like new except some scratches made by me... QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ May 16 2008, 11:42 AM) agree that old cm alu casing seems nicer than new ones. yeah,i know delta fan have good airflow but i guess its too noisy. But cm 120mm silent led fan seems nice.90cfm at 18dba.thats relatively quiet.planning to get the CM 120mm silent LED fan so claimed 90cfm fan at 18dba.. had used a delta for almost 3 years before on my old OCed rig. the noise is too now want an opposite change. want quiet like stealth |

QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ May 17 2008, 02:45 AM) i think the finish quality almost the same for 570 and normal aurora. the inside is alu, but still got SECC on side panel if not mistaken. good for you lah.I cant sleep that well with brightttt fans.LOL.hehe.Yeah gotta agreed,i guess other casing are more or less the same (the alu quality of the product),how about high end cm product like stacker?in terms of all alu, i think lianli/SS cases are the ones with full alu without SECC. haha bling bling... doesn't matter to me coz regardless of how bright also, i can still sleep well |

QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ May 17 2008, 02:15 PM) stacker, in my opinion, its too bulky for consumer. maybe more suitable as a server. ive never seen stacker before in my real life but gotta admit form the peektures, its really big and bulky.last time i used to like CM's casing like Wave Master but their casing nowadays doesnt suit to my liking. as for thermaltake's casing looks a bit too fancy at times haha |

QUOTE(dARKaNGEl @ May 18 2008, 01:02 AM) do you mean aurora is larger than stacker? yeah, make sense. But in terms of height?anyway, how i wish if aurora would be abit longe rlike aurora 570,it would be easier for cable management.I guess thats the obvious reason why they have aurora 570.but stacker looks larger.. maybe the internal space aint that large i dont know la |
