Swim bladder usually bacteria/virus infection. Can cause by contaminated food or bad(dirty) water parameter.

Usually Aro is a bio-top dweller, swimming on the surface is normal.
When ur Aro tail up/head down @ 45 degree having boyency problem/ difficulity in swimming direction, then be afraid.

Cocunut, with ur biological filteration system, I dont think water should be a problem and ur fish is NOT having swim bladder problem. Ur r just paranoid.

dun buy that banjar red la....

the body almost look like YT, silver yellow color... except got reddish tail... but RTG is more attractive

i'm still dreaming for Kalimantan BR even w/o cert... hybrid also can lah!
*
Agreed 200%.

Banjar Red = 1.5 = Grade 2
When small look like SR.(maybe fishop fed it with color enhanment pellets)
I used to owned 1, damm disapointed. Body pale, no color with horseshoe marking.
Tail, 2 tone like YT. Bought RM450, Sold RM200(1ft)
Rugi, even @ 200, difficult to sell.

I found some lubang. There are 3 pieces of wild caught "NAMI GREEN" in ALIVE Aquarium in jln.Pasar going for RM100 ea.
This one is worth a punt...

Male : Long pectoral fin. Overlapping the anal fin.
Slight PLJ(protruding lower jaw) becos its a mouth brooder.
Color, more intense.
Longer Bodyand slimmer.

Have u keep any Jardini b4?
Jardini came in diff. variants - Red Jardini(like the one in the link), Gold Jardini & Plain Silver Jardini. Both Red and Gold are very rare.

I bought a Super Golden Jardini 2wks ago out of impulse.
I was at jln. Pasar doing my rounds. Have no intention of buying but cannot resist. Fr the FS next to the Chinese Temple and the FS owner wasnt aware of this rare Jardini.
Since u wanted to sell ur 1.5 and the guy(afad) @ myfishforum wanted to upgrade. Why u do a barter trade? He top up the diffrence (RM200)

I'm sure u will get more satisfation fr his Jardini(more character and better coloration)
Seriously fr my experince, a Red/Gold Pearl Jardini come 1 in every 200.

That why Arowing isnt an expensive hobby. Just choose a variant to suit ur own pocket. Be very selective. I paid RM55 for my Golden Pearl Jardini.

It's a rhetoric answer anyway. Most important is selection, selection and selection also an eye to see future potential in a small fries.

Reflection or no reflection, its genetic.
Secondly do not feed ur Aro with fatty diet(meal worms/ super worms). If ur Aro is obese, am afraid there might be fatty tissue in the eye socket.

Snyy,
Dont get a 4'x 1.5', u Aro will get stunted or bengkok. 4 x 2 is the min. requirement. If no budget better get a 3' x 1.5', keep the Aro until 1'(1 yr) and @ the meantime save enuf $ to upgrade to a 4 x 2.
Better still 5' x 2.5'. If u observe in the fishforum, sometimes can get some 2ndhand at a decent price.
Saif,
Did ya see those Green @ ALIVE/jln Pasar?
Those fries are so small (just out of their sag), definately wild caught. Farm do not release at this stage. I dont mind buying when it's more stable and when I can see some development.

Madstone,
788 is veri cheap. but I dont trust them. better bring an expert along.
"Good things never cheap, cheap things never good"
or when u go there, they said "Sold Out"
ALIVE in Pudu also put big,big banner RTG-RM680 but when u go insde, cheapest RTG is RM988.

I dont like the look of the Serdang FS. Look like operated by some Mafia fronting for money laundering purposes.
Who r they trying to kid, "Only limited to 5 a day"
Dreaming! I dont think they can even sell 2 a day on the average.

Veteran Aro shop Kien Fatt(Kepong), Tai Lai Heng(Kuchai Lama), Loy(Tmn,Megah) dont even make that kind of sweeping statement. These are reputable shops that accept return if u r not happy with the quality.

anybody can give idea, what is the best tank mate for aro?
*
Ur Aro is too big for playmates. It'll end up dead. Got to introduce when they r young.

I like Ornate Bichir. Bottom feeder/ canivoire and will scavenge all the left over.
Do not recomend a fast fish. It will compete with the Aro for food.

JonY,
No fish eat shit.
