QUOTE(bluecoat @ Apr 29 2014, 10:00 PM) I introduce new member 4 tail sss and 2 ss CRS into my Grade A CRS tank at last saturday. But today i saw got 2 new member is die. i dont know what is the reason. The old CRS is still working well and no issue. one thing that i learn..I am curious why the new member is die ? i immediately use water test kit to determine need change or not. but it look no need . My NH3/NH4 , No2 and no3 all is 0 and PH is 7.2 Anyone have idea why my new CRS die. please comment. sometimes it's also important to know the parameter of their previous tank(seller/breeder tank)... because these "hybrid" shrimp is quite fragile... the bigger margin their water parameter changed...the more risk of death we will be facing... p/s: this also apply to saltwater/reef tank keeping |

QUOTE(ekestima @ Feb 19 2015, 12:58 AM) What's the aircond temperature you set ? How many hp aircond u use ? the reason why i use aircond because i have multiple tank in my roomElectricity bill wise ? Nice to hear that there are lots of baby shrimp Tq planted tank and shrimp tank using 1hp and temp set at 25 and my room is pretty small also so it doesn't take long for the room temp to cool down electric bill wise i think around rm20 extra per month |

QUOTE(davido @ Jan 19 2016, 04:06 PM) hehe, we're all learning. I have multiple shrimp food, but its rather expensive. One small bottle between RM40 to RM60+ depending on the type. shrimp are scavenger Was thinking of supplementing with kangkung from the kitchen so as to reduce costs. I did that a few times - boil a leaf for 2 minutes, then put into the tank. I observe for 5 minutes and see the shrimps were not interested. Two hours later I come back, I cannot find the leaf. I thought maybe stuck somewhere in the aquarium since its a planted tank. Tried it twice - twice also the leaf was nowhere to be found. I'm not sure about feeding other fresh food - whether can feed barley, broccoli and so on. And for meat, can cut a small piece of raw fresh prawn (yes the one that you eat) since I see shrimps also eat dead fish or dead prawn (yeah, sometimes they die in the tank). Anyway, just a thought. they will eat any thing p/s: good or not for their diet they have to decide by their own |
