hi guys, wanna ask you guys which are the best or prefered additive/bacteria that you guys would choose. i plan to start a 39L shrimp tank. for now just neos. i can't afford a chiller T.T

yup, does in minimal ammount everyday or does after water change 2 eliminate algea

shrimps won't clean it all, u will still see small dot of algea, even snails too

the larvae need salt water to survive until their first metamorph

but there are reports of people who did it without salt water

Tank have alot of snails from MTS to mini ramshorns. I have molly in tank:

A - read shrimps eat snails, can get yamato
B - get cherry but worry cherry berry and get eaten by molly, + size smaller than yamato
C - get dwarf crayfish, not worried molly, but will snip on plants and fishes while sleeping
D - get assassin snails, but will it harm nerite snail which is 5x bigger than it

1 should be no problem.

nerite too big for them. unless no food only they might attack nerite

I hope 1 assassin wont be able to kill a single nerite lol

haha, 1 also got chance, its like, slowly killing it. but as long got ramshorn and other small snail it will target them first

Hey guys, i was wondering if you guys had any experience with good shrimp foods? I feed my RCS the occasional blanched cucumber but i don't think those are rich enough in terms of minerals and calcium.

I am thinking about getting the Shirakura Shrimp Food/Shirakura Baby Powder Food for my shrimps and their babies but do not know if they are any good. Any suggestions?
