I think my tank was infested with seed shrimp and planaria after adding in new plant.
Saw one white crawling worm (planaria perhaps) around the subtract and many small tiny white bug crawling around the subtract. (i assume is seed shrimp) How to I get rid of them? |

Hope they grow well and breed too. My tank is pretty uneventful. Trimming the darn overgrown moss and removing excess flowing plants every couple days and learned that horned nerite snails poo like crazy. And fighting water surface oil layer. Short of using a skimmer or air pump (not practical in my case), I've tried manually removing it, I tried the paper towel method, I did water change, I cut down feeding to 20% compared with before (less shrimps now anyway Edit: Oh.. and my ongoing battle with leeches. ADA Tourmaline? if you want to reduce ph the safe and long lasting way, use plant or shrimp soil, if really Tourmaline can reduce ph! how many you need to dose and how long can it last?Unless you are into keeping CRS , no need to worry much about PH especially for neocaridina type shrimp like fire red etc, they only require stable ph of range ph5.5 -8.2. Finally spinach is in season here. How long can I keep blanched spinach in the tank before it starts affecting my water quality? |

You can try biochem no-planaria powder for the leeches problem. May work on them. |
