if your main aim is aquascaping with fishes and later onto shrimp, go for ADA, ADA soil have the best nutrients ratio,
however if you mainly into shrimp then goes for sl aqua nature soil for caridina types shrimp and sl aqua sulawesi lava for neocaridina type,
different is nature soil are acidic while sulawesi lava substrate are alkaline.

For neo shrimp , no need chiller , fan will do .

shrimp depend more the bacteria cycle and parameters, what you put in that affect the parameters is more important.

for neocaridina shrimp , if their base color is the same like cherry , red rili ,fire red and bloody mary, all are red color base.
even you mix them all in one tank , you won't get wild color baby. But you will get random color of each.

you will get a mixture of cherry , fire red and red rili.
all red based neocardina can mix together without producing wild shrimp.
