Hi I am new in this hobby, switching from fish to shrimp.
Currently cycling my ADA amazonia soil. Will need shrimp in a week or two.

Anyone has some fire red shrimp & fire yellow shrimp for sell/sponsor?
Looking at 10 each for start up. (I had a 2 feet tank splitted with divider)

Hopes to learn from some sifus around here.

Do few large water change since you are using ADA soil to clear out the large amount of ammonia leech out by the soil, let it fully cycled , adjust the Tds and gh of your water using additives before getting your shrimp.
Depend on what type and group of shrimp you intend to keep, the requirements vary. You may want to read more info on internet before you embark on this shrimps journey.
Keeping shrimp can be 3x harder then fish and require much more investment if you aim for these Crystal shrimp.

The big clump of moss is a type of Christmas moss.
Ask your local fish shop or search online for ppl selling it.

My first batch of CRS. Just arrived yesterday.

Hey, Aquatics International is a great place, and thanks for mentioning it. That's where I got these CRS from.

These are Grade B I believe. I wanted to see if they will do well in my tank, but so far they seem to have adjusted well. Now I'm contemplating getting two SS grade CRS from lelong.

Unless you go local fish shop and buy their pre made cycled tank, there is no safe way for ppl to straight away setup a tank and put in shrimp and sell you.
Shrimp is very fragile .
Unless you getting the Opae ula brackish shrimp which tank can be setup and shrimp in straight away.

You can check out lelong. There is a shop that provides the stuffs that you need for a shrimp tank. Look under Package.
http://aquashop.lelong.my/

It does not include the tank, pump, lights, or plants or shrimp. But it does tell you what kind of price to expect for the substrate and how to start.

As jiro mentioned, baby need their own food which are the biofilm and algae in tank, You can put in some ketapang leaf to harbour more biofilm for the baby or dose baby food like
Mosura bioplus and borneowild Bebi or glasgarten Bacter ae to help promote abundant of biofilm for them.

Hi eolith,
Welcome. I'm also looking for CRS SS grade. I know that Aquatics International is in stock for CRS Grade B now. So if you're okay with that, you can try to pay them a visit.
For online, I managed to find on lelong http://www.lelong.com.my/merchant/Aquashop.htm
If anyone knows where to Grade SS CRS is in stock now, please do respond too. I'm in PJ area.
Much appreciated.
Thanks.

Past the old Subang Airport. Past Airod. Then turn left and its off a beaten track.
Its best to use Waze. Search for them by name, or use GPS.
