I got hooked up by board game during my study in US. However, now that I am working in Penang, and knowledge to board games for most people are limited to scrabble and monopoly , I am so so disappointed

I played those games before

Bang the bullet (MY ALL TIME FAVORITE!!)
Settlers of Catan (that game goes for hours)
Munchkin (It's quarreling from start to finish)

Calling for all penang board game folks... Can we just meet up somewhere and have a board game? I have been lurking in lowyat forum sometimes...time and time again there's people in penang asking for board games....and then it dies down.

We need to let people know board games are fun (it's not just monopoly and scrabble).

Please respond if you are stuck here like I do!

I know, I know...I am comparing penang and KL...and I see KL have 2-3 clubs for board games and Penang has none......

Also, I am hoping for something like an official boardgames club for those people in Penang...just like how KL is going on. And then we can gather up once a week, learning new games and etc etc...

The reason I hesitated in just dropping by a group of veteran playing boardgame is because......playing as a newbie against all those powerful players is scary, I was once FLAMED by teammates for killing my own ally...TWICE in a bang game

What say we have a hub of new players of boardgames in Penang !
