1. Annual Income: RM30,000.00
2. Annual Fee: Free for lifetime / as low as possible
3. Card required for: Petrol (Shell), phone bills (Maxis), groceries (Giant, Tesco), dining & retail.
4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil
5. Looking at CC from: Any bank will do.
6. Others: Preferably low interest rate p.a as I will probably be paying a small portion per month to get some camera gears in the future.
Thank you for your advice.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 14 2014, 01:15 AM) Did you mean pay using installment scheme or you intend to pay minimum amount to bank? There's a difference in these two. If installment, that's OK but if you pay minimum amount to the bank every month, the outstanding balance keeps snowballing and may affect your credit history. It depends if there is an installment plan. If no, probably i'll pay minimum amount / as much as i can monthly till i clear the outstanding before i start swiping the card again.

QUOTE(DarReNz @ Sep 14 2014, 11:08 AM) u should do a 0% balance transfer instead of paying just the min amount Why is that so? Sorry for such a question because I am a totally newbie in this, planning to get my first CC. Any recommendation? I am gonna use the CC for Unifi, Maxis, Shell, and some groceries in Giant/Tesco. As for camera gears/electronic gadgets, probably once in a few months.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Sep 14 2014, 11:52 AM) but for 0% balance transfer, you need to have another credit card which provide such service, which means having 2 credit card from 2 different banks. Then is there a good chance for me to apply 2 CC from different banks, swipe one of it, then do a balance transfer to another cc to enjoy a 0%/low % interest rate repayment?

QUOTE(victorywp @ Sep 14 2014, 05:05 PM) yes, but you need to select those cc that offer 0% balance transfer. for eg. mbb and aeon offer it now... Thanks man, i think most probably i'll get HLB Wise + Maybank 2 Cards, or just either one.
