1. Annual Income: AUD 69K/year
2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Not necessary, as long as rewards/savings can cover it
3. Card required for: miles redemption, airport lounge, rewards
4. Existing credit cards if any: M2U 2 cards (Gold)
5. Looking at CC from: Not sure

6. Others: I fly back to Malaysia twice a year, preferabbly AA or MAS. For unknown reason I was denied a credit card by AMEX (in AU) when I applied 2 months ago.

My questions:

*How does malaysia bank see my salary figure as the requirement for credit card, do they just convert it to MYR from AUD, which means I'm eligible for any CC with requirements above RM200,000+-?

*Will my finance background (having loans, cc, etc.) in Malaysia affect my cc application here in AU?

*I'm using Citi Global Transfer, it seems to me that the conversion rate from AU to MYR is not as good as MYR to AU? And hence, the Q that always buffled me was, is it worth to use MYR credit card to pay for most of my expenses here >AUD50, and pay that cc using MYR after converting AUD using Citi Global Transfer? For the sake of reward points.

*Given the great reviews about MYR CC compared to others, even in AU, do I need a AU CC then for reward/mile points purpose?

Appreciate anyone with overseas experience to answer my questions. Thanks!
