Yes, You can Notice that, the UOB One Card having Similar Benefits with Citibank Cash back Platinum...

Citibank Cash Back Platinum Annual Fee - $195 (Income Requirement RM40k p.a)
UOB One Classic / Platinum Card Annual Fee $68 / $168 (Income Requirement RM24-36K p.a)

BUT, You Can Earn More $$$ with Citibank Cash Back Platinum... nod.gif

* 5% for Petrol Cash Rebate [capped at RM600 for Citibank CB Platinum card RM300 / RM500 for UOB ONE Classic / Platinum card per month.]

* 2% Cash Rebate for major mobile service providers (Maxis, Digi & Celcom) [capped at RM200 / RM300 for UOB ONE Classic / Platinum card per month Citibank CB Platinum Rebate will be Unlimited as Long U Pay the Bill thru Citibank Online]

* 2% for Groceries [capped at RM1000 / RM1,500 for UOB ONE Classic / Platinum card & RM3,000 for Citibank CB Platinum card per month]

* 2% at Pharmacies [No Capping on Both Citibank & UOB CC]

But Anyway, the Citibank CB Only credit the cash back earned once you reach RM50 & If the cash rebate is less than RM50 for a particular month, the total cash rebate amount will be carried forward to the following month...  Meanwhile, the UOB credit the cash back monthly into the account...

Another Cons of Citi CB Plat.... the 2% Phone Bills Rebates ONLY Available with Payments Made through Citibank Online & One Bill Payment... Whereas You can Enjoy Phone Bills Cash Back with UOB Card with any Payment Channel ie: at Online Portal or Pay Over the Counter...

+ U Will Get 5% + Another 2% Smart $ Cash Rebate at BPH Petrol with UOB One Card as for the Citi CB Plat. Just Plain 5% Off for All Petrol Station & Also Don't Forget 5%Off on GSC Tickets with UOB One Card...  thumbup.gif

I think the UOB One Card is Clearly Outshine & More Practical Used  Compare to Citibank Cash-Back Platinum & I Got Both...  tongue.gif

I'm looking for OCBC Ti card replacement. Those 2 cards you mention here seems like good option.

1. Annual Income: RM69K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must (lazy to call to beg for waive annual fee)

3. Card required for:
a) Petrol RM350+,
b) Insurance autodebit monthly (RM979),
c) Cash Back/Rebate, reward,
d) Overseas Transactions (occasionally) ,
e) utilities bill (Maxis phone & broadband RM170+RM105, TM fix line RM26, electric RM50, water RM6) = pay via online
f) 0% interest installment, (3C gadgets )
g) Majlis bandaran cukai pintu, cukai tanah, indah water = via online payment
h) Grocery RM200 - 300 (sometime pay by cash)
i) car maintenance
j) dinning - once in a blue moon
k) vacation - hotel, flight ticket (once or two per year)

4. Existing credit cards if any: CIMB Direct Access Mastercard (plan to cancel), OCBC Titanium Mastercard(Just applied last Oct, sadly now more 5%), Maybank Sony visa (Plan to cancel).

5. Looking at CC from: UOB One Platinium Visa or Maybankard 2 (Amex & Visa)

6. Others: ....

So UOB better or MBB 2 better for me? For MBB2+OCBC combo or cancel OCBC and get MBB2+UOB platinium combo

One thing I dun like UOB platinum, need to swipe 12 times per year and spend 36k per year or call the SC to beg for waive...which I dun like and more likely I forget to call on time rclxub.gif

I tried switching from my UOB One Card to HL WISE Card, tot i can enjoy the 10% cash rebate on Mobile, Petrol and Dining.

Ended, some month i get the rebate some month i ended ZERO. The criteria for 10 x RM50 is difficult leh.

One of the month, i got 9 transactions......didn't realise i need to spend 1 more time to get the cash rebate.

HL Wise manager, if you see this message.....please remove this troublesome criteria. Or else, i will divorce you during my first year anniversary with you.

Life is already stressful, and this card give me more headache. I better stick back to my UOB One Card. At least i don't have to do tracking.

Which card allows unlimited entry to the premium lounge without having to deduct your points? I know Amex platinum but RM800 fee is too much to pay. Is there another card? Thank you.

1. Annual Income: RM30K to RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must ( Why not? ).

3. Card required for:Petrol, Entertainment ( Cinema and a little bit of mid-tier restaurants ( Chilis, Dragon-i etc))

4. Existing credit cards if any: None.

5. Looking at CC from: Citibank for all those discounts in restaurants, and the Maybank cards with AMEX as suggested in first page.

6. Others: I think Petrol will be 80% of my CC usage. But for now I pumped RM30 can last for more than one week if I really drive it courteously. This is subjected to change as my working location will change from very near to quite some distance from where I stay now.

Just joined the workforce and I always thought that CC is a kind of luxury until I read this post. Thanks for the heads up. thumbup.gif
But according to above do I really need a CC?

well it is not the matter of spend less than 500 is more like matter of going through the trouble of asking the sales person break the single transaction into multiple swipe. Most of the time u have to beg them and yet they are showing you some face color due to making their life difficult

3. Card required for: Free KLIA/LCCT Lounge Access.

4. Existing credit cards if any: UOB One Card & VOX Card, Std Cht Justone Plat, Maybank2kard Gold, OCBC Titanium, CIMB Cashback

5. Looking at CC from: Not sure, the one that can provide lounge access

6. Others:

I and my partner will be travelling overseas next year. Hence I'm thinking to apply 2 cards that can provide us access to the lounge. There will be a trip through KLIA, and a few trip through LCCT (or KLIA2?)

Hope sifus here can provide me some advice.
