Hi All,

Need your advice on selection on the CC.

What is the CC that have a best cash back (preferably weekdays spending) for all requirement perhaps (most important; petrol, groceries, insurance, phone bills, utilities)
PLUS with the additional features of have FREE airport lounge? (is there any? smile.gif)

annual income: 100k.

Thanks!
*
you can get a pbb vs 6% everyday on grocery and online billing (free ppl too with certain t&c) and mbb2cards for petrol (but only 1.25% on weekdays - cover back with 5%+1.25% on weekends), etc. to be used especially on weekends.

1. Annual Income: from rm30k++ jump to rm80k++ (change job+position+salary)

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A must lo, unless cashback significantly more than annual fee

3. Card required for: cash back for petrol/toll(tng zing)/bills/groceries and the occasional yamseng (1x a mth)

4. Existing credit cards if any: maybank 2 cards gold + citibank cash back (will terminate citi after get rm50 gst refund since rm120 annual fee and not much rebate, hate the rm50 rebate blocks)

5. Looking at CC from: no idea

6. Others: Since new job require tons of travelling, cannot rely on weekends for petrol cash back. Current maybank tng zing reload fees quite high too. Seeing if new annual income jump can bring me more cashback rewards. I estimate an increase in expenditure to 2k mthly (previously less than 1k mthly).

with your expenditure increasing to 2k, it's time for you to use hlb wise. can also consider uob one to replace your citibank cb plat (but uob is lowering their cb based on new t&c).

1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: Petrol, Cash Back/Rebate/installment (intend to use for Petrol & Grocerios only plus installment on electronic products)

4. Existing credit cards if any:

2012 had cc maybank & cimb.

Maybank i pay min everymonth till now but intend to clear off this month. about 1.2k left. in CCRIS, it shows "belum jelas" but its not under special interest. 0000 for the past 12 months
For CIMB, i defaulted payment and started paying in 2014. January 2015, i completed paying and got release letter already.
Also just completed pay off RHB easy late last month (April 2015)

5. Looking at CC from : IDK!! so many.

6. Others:

a ) if i finish paying maybank cc, how fast i can reapply for their cc?
b ) what will happen if i apply cc from many banks at 1 time?
*
a) after 3-6 months finish paying, you may try to apply mbb cc again like mbb2cards or mbb ikhwan.
b) if you apply cc from many banks at one time, it will show you as a desperate applicant and most likely will be rejected.

if you don't mind 1% cb on everything (except petrol) and everyday with no special requirements, you may try hlb essential.

hlb mach will be a good choice. or if your expenditure is >rm1k a month can also consider aeon watami.

yes, usually use basic income or taxable income or income which contributed to your epf. if your allowance deducted for epf then it's surely counted. but some banks did consider the allowance/claim as a source of income too. so just put in and let them decide. nod.gif
