how do you cancel your uob one card when you have yet to clear the outstanding?  blink.gif
after settling your issue with uob, you may check out mbb2cards gold for 5% rebate (+5x tp) on all weekends expenses (at places that accept amex).
*
i just call up CS and cancel it. The Card immediately not valid anymore thn i call up to another department to restructure my outstanding . But this installment interest is based on my retail interest which is 18%. They actually just close my CC account but the account still will be in CCRISS till i settle the outstanding. i already have 2 in my ccriss....i think is better mayb after a year only apply for CC? so my CCRISS record all 00000

. Annual Income: - should be sufficient for most cards

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must

3. Card required for: Petrol, groceries and others

4. Existing credit cards if any: Citibank silver (retain for sentimental reason), Citibank Giant (to cancel), OCBC titanium (considering to cancel since no more 5% rebate), Maybank2card (to retain as long as attractive enougn)

5. Looking at CC from: Other cards that allows me to get more benefit in terms of rebate or points which I normally use to purchase groceries.

6. Others: Currently petrol using Maybank amex on weekend and OCBC titanium weekdays, now since OCBC reducing rebate to 1%, looking for something else. Groceries -Amex in weekend and OCBC titinium weekdays...

UOB One Card, Currently 1 of the Best Now... smile.gif
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2979093/+120 Pls Refer MyPost#124 for Details
OR
Citibank Cash Back Platinum http://www.citibank.com.my/english/credit-...Code=MYCCWAB7LM Which's having the Similar Benefits with UOB One Card

But, the Citibank CB Only credit the cash back earned once you reach RM50 & If the cash rebate is less than RM50 for a particular month, the total cash rebate amount will be carried forward to the following month... Whereas UOB credit the cash back monthly into the account...

Another Cons of Citi CB Plat.... the 2% Phone Bills Rebates ONLY Available with Payments Made thru Citibank Online & One Bill Payment... Whereas You can Enjoy Phone Bills Cash Back with UOB Card from Any Payment Channel ie: at Online Portal or Pay Over the Counter...
+ U Will Get 5% + Another 2% Smart $ Cash Rebate at BHP Petrol with UOB One Card as for the Citi CB Plat. Just 5% Off for All Petrol Station

Anyway,You Can Earn More $$$ with Citibank Cash Back Platinum... nod.gif
* 5% for Petrol Cash Rebate [capped at RM600 for Citibank CB Platinum card & RM500 for UOB ONE Platinum card per month.]

* 2% Cash Rebate for major mobile service providers (Maxis, Digi & Celcom) [capped at RM300 for UOB ONE Platinum card per month & Citibank CB Platinum Rebate will be Unlimited as Long U Pay the Bill thru Citibank Online]

* 2% for Groceries [capped at RM1,500 for UOB ONE Platinum card & RM3,000 for Citibank CB Platinum card per month]

1. Annual Income: > 100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No

3. Card required for: AirMiles (Travel), Airport Lounges
4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil

5. Looking at CC from: Citibank - Premier Miles

6. Others: I'm a foreigner. I'm looking at Citi PremierMiles AmEx, but then I know that AmEx is not as versatile as Visa or Mastercard. I also prefer not having to open a bank account. CIMB Enrich cards would also be out of question since it requires a stupid amount of fixed deposit.

Thanks. I have look at both, just looking at options of not paying the RM800 annual fee.
Maybank would be my preference as i can view card details online but i dont think i will use more than RM50k per year to be entitled to waiver. Well from my nick, u can pretty much guess which team i support too..

Plus point for Alliance would be

1. access to lounge world wide
2. 30k within 12 months for free lifetime annual fee

Alliance do have online system to track your CC usage / payment. I believe most bank provide this anyway because i havent come across any that doesn't provide this platform.

1. Annual Income: RM30K - RM36K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must - otherwise depending on how good is the card.

3. Card required for:
- Petrol: Always BHP station when possible (RM180 per month)
- Dining with family (Around RM250 per month)
- Movie + Popcorn: TGV (RM150 per month)

4. Existing credit cards if any: None

5. Looking at CC from: Open to suggestion

6. Others: As can be seen I don't do many swips with the card as it's only a backup plan when I run out of cash so if possible the bank must be lenient in waiving annual fees.

petrol - uob one card 5% rebate plus another extra 2% when pump at bhp.
dinning- hlb mach card with 5% rebate.
movie - citi clear card with buy 1 free 1 on friday and rm10 per ticket normal day. you may consider rhb evo too which give you 20% rebate on movie, sing k, theme park ticket etc.

since you income below 36k you can only choose 2 out of 3..uob is a must and the another one you have to decide which category put more weight on your daily lifestyle.

regarding AF i not sure though as i don't have both 3 cards.. tongue.gif mach card can be waive with min 12 swipes per year if not mistaken.

alternately, you may consider hlb wise card too which give you 2 categories to entitle 10% rebate. for example petrol + dinning. drawback is it have certain rules to follow which is you must swipe at least 10 times rm50 per month. AF rm160 and cannot waive at the moment.

The Maybankard Visa Infinite earns the card holder 5X Treats Points overseas but only 2X for local spending. The Best Travel & Overseas Spend Card from Maybank.
Annual Fee Principal: RM800, FREE for the 1st year
Subsequent years FREE if spend a min of RM50,000 per annum
Supplementary: FREE for life

So this card is great for those who spend substantial sum of money overseas (online or in person) like in the case of rjb123 where he spend RM12K-RM15K per month on overseas transactions.

And this card is also great for Miles where he flies overseas like every other week.

But , the Maybankard VI is not good if you spend your money locally.

1. With overseas 5X Treats Points, for the VI it works out to be RM0.90 spent = 1 Enrich Mile. But for local spending where you only earn 2X TP, it works out to be RM2.25 spent = 1 Enrich Mile. Whereas our Maybankard 2 AMEX which earns us 5X TP and with conversion rate of 7000 TP = 1000 Enrich Miles works out to be RM1.40 spent locally = 1 Enrich Mile.

2. To redeem stuff other that Enrich Miles, the Maybankard VI has no advantage over the Maybankard 2 AMEX because we need the same number of points to redeem for the same item... Selected from Gen-x'Post#163 https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2989298/+160

for utility bill (ie telco, water, TNB, astro), what's best card? Need to terminate OCBC Titanium already coz not more 5% rebate already. Heard HLB card got 10% rebate if above RM500 (RM50x10) per month.

For petrol, i have change to RHB which got 10% rebate.
