I see. Tq so much bos.
I've decide to take the UOB one card.
Anybody knows where is their HQ in kl?
Can we like go there and perhaps to get the card in like a few hours time like with m2 cc's?

I X Think they (UOB) Have 1-Hour Instant Credit Card Service... hmm.gif
So far as I know MBB, Citi, & RHB Got It Only... nod.gif

1. Annual Income: 80k - 100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Doesnt really matter

3. Card required for: Petrol

4. Existing credit cards if any: Citibank and Bank Islam - both for education back then. maxed out but already paid 100%

5. Looking at CC from: Any

6. Others: as per mentioned in number 4, now i want to re-apply since i already clear outstanding debt. im debt-free but require cc for petrol and oversea outstation. issue is, just only recently settle everything so is there any cooldown period before reapply?

UOB One Card with 5% Off on Petrol, Currently the Best Card for Petrol Rebate... thumbup.gif
Can Refer to My Post #106-7 (just few Posts Above Yours') about the Rebate of UOB One Card & Others Credit Card Recommendation

Btw, About Your Debts Issue... U mean Currently now U X Have Any Credit Card (Sudah Potong All Your CC), Just Free Yourself from CC Debts...???
hmm.gif
Better Off with 3-6 Months Cooling Period for the Bank to Update Your CC (Debts-Free) Status to the CCRIS Report before You Try to get Credit Card Again... smile.gif

How is UOB One card compare to Citibank Cash Back platinum?

Citi Cash Back also gives 5% rebate for all petrol stations anytime.

U Need a Card that Giving You Max Cash Back + No Annual Fee... hmm.gif
But FYI, Most of the Cash Rebate Credit Card Usually Came with Annual Fee... sweat.gif
Anyway, the Annual Fees of the Card are EZly to Waive Off by Bank if U Used Your Card.... Frequently nod.gif

I Think these 2 CC's You Should Consider to...

I) UOB ONE Card - a Pure Cash Back Card, Earn Cash Rebate ON:
* 5% for Petrol Cash Rebate [capped at RM500 for UOB ONE Platinum card & RM300 for UOB ONE Classic card per month.]
* 5% for Cinema at GSC only
* 2% Cash Rebate for major mobile service providers (Maxis, Digi & Celcom) [capped at RM300 for UOB ONE Platinum card & RM200 for UOB ONE Classic card per month.]
* 2% for Groceries [capped at RM1,500 for UOB ONE Platinum card & RM1,000 for UOB ONE Classic card per month.]
* 2% at Pharmacies
& 0.3% for all Other Purchases...
*Enchanted with SMART$ Cash Rebate Privileges http://www1.uob.com.my/assets/pdf/platinum...036;partner.pdf
Usually They Given 2 Years Annual Fee Waiver to NEW Signup
For the Subsequent Years You can Call Customer Service Request AF Waiver from Them

II) Maybank 2Cards
It's FREE for Life with NO Annual Fee Came with a Treat Point (System) with 3 Years Expiration Period
*The benefits of two cards, Maybankard 2 American Express® Card and Maybankard 2 MasterCard or Visa Card, in 1 sign up, 1 service tax, & 1 statement.
*You can Enjoy a low Finance Charge of 8.88% p.a. on your outstanding retail balance.
*5x Treats-Points for every Ringgit spent on Maybankard 2 American Express Card and 1x Treats Point on Maybankard 2 Card in Malaysia or anywhere else in the world.

Yes, You can Notice that, the UOB One Card got Similar Benefits with Citibank Cash back Platinum...
UOB One Card (Income Requirement RM24-36K p.a) & Citibank Cash Back Platinum (Income Requirement RM40k p.a)

But, the Citibank CB Only credit the cash back earned once you reach RM50 & If the cash rebate is less than RM50 for a particular month, the total cash rebate amount will be carried forward to the following month... Whereas UOB credit the cash back monthly into the account... thumbup.gif

Another Cons of Citi CB Plat.... the 2% Phone Bills Rebates ONLY Available with Payments Made through Citibank Online & One Bill Payment... Whereas You can Enjoy Phone Bills Cash Back with UOB Card from Any Payment Channel ie: at Online Portal or Pay Over the Counter... biggrin.gif

+ U Will Get 5% + Another 2% Smart $ Cash Rebate at BPH Petrol with UOB One Card as for the Citi CB Plat. Just 5% Off for All Petrol Station... sweat.gif

The UOB One Card is Clearly Outshine & More Practical Uses Compare to Citibank Cash-Back Platinum with Similarity Benefits... nod.gif

Thanks for the review.

I think for the cash rebate of RM50 for Citibank is not a big issue for me as long as I receive it regardless when. For the phone bill is not hard to set up and do it through the online citibank system, in fact it is more convenient. I realize UOB have a limit of RM300 only for this and for petrol is only RM500.

The only thing I can see UOB One Card is better is if I pump BHP alone and also on GSC tickets.
