Going to service my Preve Exec for 20k mileage at Seksyen 13 PJ..anyone knows how much will that be if I use Full Synt EO?


After one year owning this Preve,
1. dashboard rattling sound,
2. rear got 'tik tik' and 'ek ek' sound (2 types ),
3. front side passenger door vibrate sound
4. driver seat feels like not secure (macam goyang2 ),
5. front passenger door also vibrate...
6. headlamp misty when rain (SC say normal, cannot change )
7. Wind noise at front n rear when travelling above 80km/h
8. During jam, sometimes when press fuel pedal, car won't move, same for reversing from stop condition
9. Even the clock from the HU is not accurate (one month, fast one minute)


There are few other complains that I email to Proton We-Care, after that PJ Seksyen 13 SC call me up to made appointment to rectify the problems.

Response from Customer Service is good. Car handling at high speed is good.

Only -ve point is the quality of the parts..

Real fucuk Proton...I bought the first batch Preve Exec CVT without all the add in features ...

my Preve also at Section 13 SC since last Thursday...how come I got no relief car? Everyday have to take taxi to and from work...damn inconvenient...

at first they told me something wrong with the gear shift, when do clutch adaption got error, order new part and replace on Saturday, but problem still occur..

today, Monday, technician from HQ going to take a look at my car, hopefully they can find out what is wrong with my car and solve it..

SA is Mr.Zul but I dunno who is the technician handling my car..

Damn, call SC today, no one pick up phone at 5 something..

SA did not call to inform me about the progress either..

already called them daily, Mr.Zul will return my call but he only said the problem that I mention is not solve.

Just now Mr.Zul called me again, need to change something in the gear box...he told me it is a suggestion from the HQ technician, (I have my doubt whether it will solve my problem or not), have to wait until Friday for the testing to complete. If fail, then my car have to stay there until dunno when..

By the way, the problem that I mention was during press the fuel pedal from stop position, sometimes the car won't move, rpm will rise but car not moving, any Preve Exec CVT members facing this problem?

I even post on Proton FB, they will refer to WeCare..damn..my car a lemon unit? :'(

Update: Section 13 going to provide me a Saga as relief car..not yet finish work , cannot go and take..shit..tomorrow holiday, no car....damn...arrghh....only can go and take the relief car on Thursday morning....

collected the relief car and saw my Preve there...damn dirty and dusty...
Mr.Zul said today will do testing and hopefully can finish today evening...

Current mileage at 21k, went to Section 13 and also complain about the problem. My Preve is low spec Exec CVT.

Serious problem depending on situation..going uphill, stop and press fuel pedal, if not moving then will roo down the hill. It happens randomly..

history man..ok, here it goes..
New car (0-10000km) - Car will die off if switch from D<->R, sometimes cannot start, need to turn ignition 3 times (exactly 3 times if the 1st ignition failed) -> Frequency of happening, quite often during 0-1000km, after that randomly happen. (Fuel pedal press and car not moving did not happen, but straightaway die off happens during early morning or after parking car long time, I did warm up the car for a minute+)

After 10k services at Section 13 -> Car feel more responsive. D<->R die off not happen anymore, just that when shift from D<->R, sometimes rpm low, shudders but did not die off. Ignition start problem happen only once from 10k~20k.
Fuel pedal press and car not moving happens quite often during traffic jam (one day around 2~4 times, I need to travel around 3~4hours daily, jam quite bad)

Anyway, was it a bad choice for Preve, sometimes yes sometimes no..haha..when it is behaving itself properly, then it is good..

Service quality improve quite a lot, I complain about not having a relief car, and then they gave me a relief within the next day. QC still needs to improve a lot, too many defective parts. Some minor some major, but the hassle of sending the car to SC is very tiring and causes a lot of inconveniences.

How long does it take to change the gearbox?

Got my Saga relief car yesterday and saw my Preve there.. :'( so dirty already...I will need to send it for car detailing after this...dirt stick there for so many days, difficult to wash d...

my preve fabric also easily torn but I did not complaint about it. all the benang also easily come out

How is the new fabric, easily torn as well?

my Preve at Seksyen 13 SC more than a week liao ...call them up, nobody answer phone

is it tea break for them from 3pm to 3.30pm???? no one pick up the phone since calling from 3.00pm until 3.40pm as of now....

damn, I demand to know what is happening to my car..damn it...miss my Christmas with my Preve and now miss the new year also..

Update: Finally SC called me. They need to change the TCU and the part is ordered from Kuching. So, my Preve will be celebrating the New Year at Service Center ..

yeah...SC Section 13 PJ just called and my car is ready to be collected...changed the TCU and other faulty parts....will try it out later...going to collect my car for New Year celebration

pickup a bit slow..and noisy engine..CONFIRM!

as your bro advice if you can accept that, then it is ok..
