calling for all sifus 

i am in serious dillema now whether to get a MYVI 1.3 SE or PREVE 1.6 EXECUTIVE CVT
i wont go for cfe version as it is really exceed my budget.
follow my heart  i wanted the preve because of the looks, superb handling and very spacious.
yet, by doing some research on internet many people complaining about the problem and fc.
myvi i really dont like the handling, as i drive my friend's before really felt unstable and want terbalik one, especially in corners and roundabout.
but some says u can save a lot in terms of fuel and free 3 yrs services.

as attached above, this will be my daily route to and from work, 8 to 5 or even more, cyberjaya to putrajaya(not inside putrajaya)
ppl say myvi will jimat in city driving, preve jimat in highway driving.. i dont know whether this route consider city or highway oo 
route one way around 10km, and mostly using highway. traffic condition i could say not really as jam as kl.

my main concern is fuel and repairing cost. one full tank if can last for one week still ok for me. just tht i scare isi one full tank then thursday already zero    this is my first car so most of myauto knowledge i got from internet only.

   

agreed with this.. if ur take a 9 years loan than consider about 5-7 years of planning ahead.. if u no idea what would happen then stick to highest secondhand value which in this case mavi for sure so within next few years u always can upgrade with some money in hand..

I have that knocking sound recently, when using Shell, yesterday topped up with Caltex, seems very less apparent. CFE model

Since you are getting the knocking sound with Shell, guess that is out. I will try Caltex for 3-4 times before deciding whether to swap to BHP. If the knocking sound is completely gone with Caltex, it appears that I will have to stick with it for good.

Not sure, though one thing is for sure is that I'll highlight this issue to Proton once my car is due for the 10,000km service. Will ask them to rectify it as well, if it is possible.

The knocking started after the 1st service at mileage 1,000km. Now my vehicle is approaching 5,000km and the knocking is still there albeit much reduced now. Don't know if it's due to the type of petrol (Caltex) or something else.

It is good that your vehicle does not exhibit knocking.

I guess Proton service centres only use Petronas engine oil? Anyway the vehicle was on Petronas Syntium 800 during the 1,000km service and Petronas Primax RON95 all the while just until recently I switched to the 1st tank of Caltex.

I wonder why you were given Petronas Synthium 3000 whilst I was given Synthium 800 during the 1,000km service.

I just took syn800 becoz dont want to waste free service

Syntium 1000 is 15w-50, which is too high for modern new engines.

Between Syntium 1000 fully-syn 15w-50 and 800 semi-syn 10w-40, I'd pick the 800 semi syn but change at 5k km.

If between Syntium 800 and fully syn 3000, I'd take the 3000.

Do you mean you haven't experience this helicopter sound or whatsoever it is? I've been reading some forums and they are mentioning about ABS, ESC functioning. I wonder if it's due to these as I haven't driven car fitted with these before.

You mean ... if slide gear knob to left and CVT still change gear for us automatically? I thought that position for semi-auto ... we still need to change gear like manual gear.

Hi, is the reverse sensor and lcd 3rd party? if yes, doesn't that mean will void warranty? Coz I asked ny SA and he said can fix but will void warranty coz of rewiring and dunno wat.

Another thing, question for all sifu. I notice because of the front down profile of preve, the reverse light not shining down properly and visibility is very bad in dark places. Even I turn on the rear fog lamp not much effect and I need to come out to check and see. Any way I can overcome this problem. Much appreciated.

So means there is nothing wrong with the CVT holding the revs at 4000rpm ? Is 4000rpm the best max power/torque output already? I still finding it hard to believe.. Cause throughout all gears it holds at around 4000rpm only. I thought different gear ratios should be different shifting point?

The backlight of SS is still eye-catching. I think it's appropriate though, two variants of the similar specs, either hatchback or sedan.

don noe the test drive car being too hardcore before or what. I had very bad experience while doing the test drive.. the loose sounds come from almost everyway. yes, the pickup really aggressive, but the sound from the engine and the vibration of the dashboard is like 20 years old underpower wira..
T.T ... just my RM0.002 ya... feeling disappointed.. it is far from my expectation....

I have seen on mudah.my with 63k for Premium. but its only applied to those who have NCD to 55%.

but the price tag at 80k with no rebate at all~~

Guys ... want to ask. CFE use push start switch. How to operate ... lets say pwr window if we already turn off the engine? Thx
