I enquired directly to Kristof of Punch Powertrain about the improvements on the VT3. My questions were forwarded to his colleague Fikeri Yusof. the following is the email exchange.

Although the VT3+ is currently implemented on the Suprima and Preve LE only, future Preve models will adopt it as well. Something for future Preve owners to look forward to.

So as you guys can see the improvements is not only software, but also the mechanical parts. Kudos to the team for answering my questions so thoroughly when other carmakers will probably shrug me off.

Goes to show Proton is not ready to rest on it's achievement with the CFE+CVT powertrain design.

ya. The photo with the link i quoted were regarding to the updated Preve information. The newly update Preve will comes with VT3+ and 6 airbags . The main thing is, the price remains the same.     

So the public rather car makers don't add value to the cars for no added cost to the customer? It's good that the manufacturer puts in their commitment to improve right? There has been a lot of blame on Proton for adding more features, demanding for explanation and refund/upgrade, as if Proton is at fault. Generally the public is at benefit

Tonite rode shotgun on mengsuan's Preve LE. As a passenger, I feel the power delivery is more similiar to Suprima S than the current/older Preve.

Didn't test drive though, so no comments on the throttle behaviour. So if you plan to get the Preve soon, make sure it comes with the VT3+ CVT.

Anyway, to identify the 5-star ANCAP Preve, look for the Airbag wording on the interior plastic trim on the A, B and C pillar.

I forgot to take a look at his chassis number plaque last nite....maybe it's stated on it?

I'm not sure if the normal Preve produced concurrent with the Preve LE or the batches immediately after Preve LE will have it, if not it is definitely in the works, according the Kristof of Punch Powertrain

I thought we have mentioned a trillion times already~~NO!! the ANCAP (6 airbag) Preve does NOT comes with VT3+ only the standard version of VT3~~the VT3+ (plus) only on the limited edition (i.e. Preve LE) >.<

Again VT3+ is an upgraded version of gearbox only for Suprima and Preve Limited Edition~~NONE other Preve variant to date has VT3+ (plus, the improved version)~

but confirmed EVP is available for the ANCAP version

Most SA doesn't even know the existence of the VT3+, as far as they know the Suprima gearbox is the same as the previous Preve.

Can i ask that VT3+ apply to non-cfe version?
