I'm not sure of the current promotion, but back in June when I bought my CFE, I was offered 6.3k discount + 1.5k NCD, making my purchase at only RM65+k (KL area), and it is a 2013 model (chassis no 35XXX). Other than that, I got a smart tag, steering lock and a full tank biggrin.gif
What kind of tinted glass that you got? If it's Ecotint, then it should have been included in the package, not something your SA will give you for 'free'.

Same with me, I'm liking this car so very much biggrin.gif No regrets whatsoever, although there are areas that could definitely be improved, such as my driver seat was a bit cranky, so I had to ask a mechanic to take it off and put it back together tongue.gif FC wise, this is not a car going down that lane.

The Ecotint is already included in the RM73k (before discount) price, and so far I'm satisfied with the quality. Coupled with the good bad? air conditioning, you will hardly feel the excessive heat.

Lockatoo something. Honestly, I'm looking for an aftermarket HU. The ones given in Preve (either CFE or Exec) are prone to mistakes.

Old Klang Road, but the discount was already inclusive of the 3k discount by Proton at that time (3k by Proton, 3.5k by SA). I don't think this promotion is still valid though.

I think buying outside will be cheaper, the retail price for 3000 is RM 219.

Although, if you have family or friend working for Petronas, you can get their help to get it for only RM 150+ like I did tongue.gif

Of course you can. The Syntium oil is sold at most Petronas station for retail.

I am very keen to get the cfe but really worried by what i read from the net, some claimed always need to visit the service centre.

Things I encountered that all has been fixed by visiting the SC (some requires appointment):
-the infamous metal grinding sound from the rear when making a turn (this one disappeared magically after some times)
-the third brake light being improperly fitted, causing slight noise when going over bumps
-improper installation of driver seat (actually the airbag mechanism), causing weird sounds when you move your body when sitting

Bear in mind that although this is a 1.6l car, its FC is the same as 2.0l car. If you're looking for low FC city-driving car, this is not the car for you., but for highway, it's awesome.

Other than that, this car is superb, power, acceleration, pick up when driving uphill, and of course its handling, on par with FoFo biggrin.gif

Things that could improve:
-Fitting and finish
-Cabin insulation could have been better

I called Proton Edar, they confirmed that it is up to the SC whether to accept customer's own EO, provided that it's new and sealed. They have the right to refuse suspicious customer's EO if the bottle is unsealed, which is logical.

Are you sure it's the engine or the CVT? I believe you're referring to the CVT sound, and that's normal (that's why many people say Preve is kinda 'loud').

Nope, you have to install it if you want it. Same case as City, Myvi and other cars (for locking and unlocking).

Somne SC has no problem with it, some insist on using their own, which translates into "hey, you must buy the EO here, at our shop, so we can have extra profit!" laugh.gif Like I mentioned in previous post, I personally called the Proton Edar, asking whether we can bring our own EO, they said it's fine and won't void warranty, at the discretion of the SC.

Engine oil is no different than petrol fuel, it's up to you which brand you want to use. Have you ever heard any car manufacturer forces you to fill petrol at only particular brand?

Hmmm... What is this 'helicopter sound'? I have never encountered this problem (I assume the sound is like the rotor whirring).

In that case, no my CFE isn't facing that problem. CVT whining while breaking (actually when slowing down) is presumably how this car works.

I'm looking for Accord style floor mat/tray, it's like a container that fits the floor so it won't budge, and everything is contained in the tray. This one is a whole lot easier to clean or wash.
