Thanks for the reply regarding the tyre pressure, guys! Just came on and read it. I'd better go release some of that pressure now!
*
I don't know whether it's a normal practice, but perhaps Proton or other party in the distribution line deliberately pumped up the pressure higher than the recommended rate, so by the time the car is handed over to the buyer, the pressure would have dropped to the standard rate? hmm.gif

you can get it at proton r3 on kesas right?

Just notice something different in my Preve. Previously when I drove test drive Preve I stated that I don't feel engine braking while downshifting on to reduce speed, it feels gliding with the test drive unit.

But on my Preve I really feels the engine braking when you're going from fast to stop. just downshift and the car really slows down by the engine. awesome. just like normal manual tranny thumbup.gif
*
Maybe you just happened to actually feel it now, because I think it has been like that since the beginning tongue.gif Try to play with the paddle shifter more to really feel the downshifting force (7 to 2) laugh.gif

Define expensive.

My budget probably around RM300-RM400 per tyre. I'm not sure about tyre price. Never bought one before. What's the normal price for tyre?

My father recommended michelin. I duno. icon_question.gif
*
300-400 I think you can get a good Falken tyres, or low end goodyear. But when the time comes for me, I think I will go for Assurance fuel max tongue.gif

Try cornering at 100km/h brows.gif (I won't be liable though! tongue.gif) Just want to remind you that your FC will be better after each service smile.gif

Oh, so there won't be any problem in term of claiming warranty etc?
*
Your first car? biggrin.gif

The warranty only sticks if you send the car on schedule to the certified SC, and not doing any modification to the car. If they want to go by technicalities, even putting body kit will also void the warranty.

hi everyone..
will be joining the club maybe next week biggrin.gif
been thru v17 till this thread but seems cant find the answer...
so here goes,
1) default ecotint tinted that comes with car for cfe, do include windshield sun strip?
2) i know tinted warranty will void if we double layer it but if we just add sun shade tinted does it void?
3) how much cost if we do it at ecotint shop? n warranty not void right if we use ecotint itself?
*
1) No
2) Yes
3) Should void, as ANY alteration done will void the warranty unless the SC said OK.

hmm~~i have a very weird problem just now~~
my car (CFE) is parked in front of my friend's house hence blocking the main gate...when my friend's wife is coming back...she called and inform me to remove the car as she is about to reach...

when i move away and parked at the side waiting for his wife to park inside the house....i opened my driver side window and was thinking to stop the engine (by pressing the push start button) as i do not know exactly when is she coming back~~~~but the engine refuse to stop even after multiple try~~

even after i closed the window it does not seems to response to the command~~
i stop trying after pushing it more than 10 times and wait for another 2 minutes or so (a bit panic already) and try again after that~~this time finally the engine stopped...

any one has the same experience as me?
*
Try pull down and pull up the handbrake, then switch off the engine smile.gif

To update the GPS, you need to pay Bosch (not Proton) RM330 for updated map. Don't bother, they are using Tom Tom map. Tom Tom has good map for Europe. But for Malaysia, even their latest map is woefully inaccurate.

You can view latest Tom Tom map here: http://www.tomtom.com/livetraffic/

In Malaysia, these maps are the best and most accurate:
* Waze
* Garmin with malfreemaps or malsingmaps
* Papago with malfreemaps
*
Hmm but is there a way we can update the map in the HU by ourselves?

Yes if you buy Syntium EO, you'll get free gifts, subject to stock at the SC.

I've got phone charger kit and a sling bag smile.gif

The SC even use the expensive Syntium 3000 5W-40 engine oil.  vmad.gif

never experienced that...ask them to check? hmm.gif
i just need to hold the unlock button and the boot will open itself
maybe it is lucky draw? while stocks last? as i learn the gift wasn't from SC per se, but from Petronas
*
Yes, the gift stock is supplied by Petronas Dagangan, and I believe the number of gifts supplied to SC does not tally the amount of EO they supply (i.e: 50 barrels of EO, but only supply 30 gifts). Not an unusual things in supply chain, actually, that's where the term 'while stocks last' apply smile.gif

Hi guys,

Currently surveying @ Preve for my fiancee. Have a few questions to ask if any of the sifu here free to respond;

1 - Thinking instead of settling with Saga, Persona or Myvi, its better to get a relatively great car for a long term usage (+-10 years target with family). Am I making a right decision here?

2 - Any major different between 2014 model with previous years?

3 - I am most probably going to choose 1.6 Exec rather than 1.6 Premium. Is it going to differ much in the real-life quality I shall receive?

4 - Any personally-suggested seller here that based @ PJ? Any seller are very much welcome to PM me to discuss in details by the way smile.gif

Warmest regards!
*
1. Once you drive Preve, I think you will forget those cars, well maybe except for Persona.
2. All new models closely follow Suprima hardware and tuning, so yes it's marginally better. And also comes with 6 airbags instead of 4.
3. If you can afford, get the CFE. Its power output an acceleration will make the 70k+ price tag seems like a steal.
4. You can PM vincent in this thread, regular SA tongue.gif
