With that being said, I think buying from Proton directly doesn't guarantee you good after sales service either. Ask from members here for good SA service.

Guys, did any of you install the flip spring in the rear trunk? Saw a few sellers in the trade zone, I think it comes in handy when the trunk flips up 'automatically' rather than simply unlatching itself from the lock.

Hi, I keep hearing like I hit a stone or something from my both rear wheel. Is it same as no 3 above? Thx
*
Nope, the annoying sound is related to the rear dash board and rear seat. Sometimes I too hear the sound you mentioned, haven't brought it up to SC yet due to work.

Actually i found the problem and solved it already. Seems that the gap between the rear wheelhouse and rear panel is making the ngek ngek sound. All you need to do is to get a screwdriver, insert at the gap and pull down, there you will make a bigger gap thus creating space and eliminating the noise.
You can find the pic at Prevoc FB.

I think you better post the picture here, since Prevoc is a closed forum, need to register to see it tongue.gif

it should be executive manual since the ads said transmission is BOTH...
*
I think the ad is for all variants of Preve, but the price stated is for exec manual.

now i feel suprima s is not that attractive anymore  since preve has almost every feature

The backlight of SS is still eye-catching. I think it's appropriate though, two variants of the similar specs, either hatchback or sedan.

test driven Preve Exec last Saturday @ pj  Jalan 223..
don noe the test drive car being too hardcore before or what. I had very bad experience while doing the test drive.. the loose sounds come from almost everyway. yes, the pickup really aggressive, but the sound from the engine and the vibration of the dashboard is like 20 years old underpower wira..
T.T ... just my RM0.002 ya... feeling disappointed.. it is far from my expectation....
*
Most of the test drive cars are pre-production samples biggrin.gif You should drive the CFE for real Preve experience tongue.gif

What is the actual street price for Preve now. Search through Mudah.com and the pricing are confusing. Same Premium specs, some mark at 68k, some 63k and some 58k. I mean new car.
*
Should be 68-69kish.

Those low prices have hidden requirement, i.e. NCD 5 years etc., which not everyone is eligible, and for basic solid color (white) only.

Other than year end/new year sales, you can hope for CNY discount too.

ok now, for the 2nd time, my CVT3 went error during gear change to D at a stop. Had to restart the engine.

This is a bad sign already. Anybody faced the same issue? Just so that I am aware of what the SC should be checking.
*
Nope not facing this issue shocking.gif

Well I'm in no rush to change the HU, so far the CFE one is satisfactorily for my needs. If only they could have used Papago, that would have been very good biggrin.gif

anyone of u having "tak tak" sound coming from around left rear passenger seat?...i already removed the rear dashboard etc and still couldnt find where the sound came from...some ppl adviced that it's actually caused by the metal rod which cross between left and right side of the boot..but after tryin to search around for rattling component of the boot..i dont think the sound came from there...it should be somewhere under the left rear speaker..where could it be??..anyone has this problem?
*
I did, then I bounced myself on the rear seats (left and right) and a loud 'fitting' sound occurred. After sometimes driving, the noise disappeared. I know it's annoying when the sound appears every time you turn.

Plan to get a preve for my very 1st car, but not sure CFE or IAFM.

CFE got lots of stuff more than IAFM, does CFE maintenance butthurt than IAFM?

for FC, CFE very bad?
*
Maintenance = RM200 per 5000km every 3 months (semi) or RM300 per 10000km every 6 months (fully), roughly. You can do the math.

FC is of that normal 2.0 car expectation, but on the bad side in city driving.

On Preve CFE, when u're slowing down/braking, there's a sound like those LRT/Monorial. Is that CVT or Engine sounds?

While we on it, Generally how do we differentiate a sound from CVT or the Engine?

mengsuan ur VT3+ have that sound too?
*
CVT is only apparent when you start moving or slowing down near complete stop, when you are already above 20-30kmh you can no longer hear the CVT whining.

I don't think the unfolded mirror is a big issue. Seriously, how can one not notice the mirrors are unfolded and how much energy does it take to press the unfold button?

About the warranty, it makes sense if you put yourself in Proton's shoes, or any manufacturer in general, you want your product to stay unaltered. If it's doctored in any unauthorised way, they can take their hands off the responsibility and claim it was the alteration that caused a problem.
