QUOTE(cangkui @ Oct 21 2013, 01:34 PM) on the DRL, both preve and suprimas s using the same headlamp. the only thing missing from preve is 1 fukken wire that should be tapped to enabled the DRL.. i cannot brain why proton did this... This is the headlamp on Suprima S premium. If it is true the headlamp unit is same, and the DRL is just a matter of tapping wire. It is so obvious that Preve was designed with DRL as standard in mind, not sure why they omit this feature with the ongoing models.

This is the close up of the circuit board
Just connect the wire to the connecter labelled "DRL" and voilla! You get proper DRL. But the process of doing it takes even Drex 2.3 hours. I think it is not easy. I'd rather pay Drex to do it to my car. You get professional workmanship from him. Not cheap, but good workmanship rarely are. Ohh and it definitely VOIDS your warranty.

QUOTE(sanadi @ Oct 21 2013, 01:30 PM) Why not join PREVOC FB: https://www.facebook.com/groups/preveownersclub/There are quite a bit of pics of Preve involved in accidents. Yes the safety shell in the Preve is quite tough. If safety is your main concern (as was mine), get the CFE version. You get 4 airbags and more importantly ESC (Electronic Stability Control). You also get a few goodies in the FB, such as enabling the Preve DRL. Yes *proper* DRL. Bright when the engine is on. Dims when you turn on the position lights. All just by connecting 1 wire labelled "DRL" on the circuit board. Proton, you sure are naughty. On preve, what actually happen to DRL when the engine start? it is still bright even the position lights turn on?

QUOTE(yaz_inseven @ Oct 21 2013, 11:23 PM) On preve, what actually happen to DRL when the engine start? it is still bright even the position lights turn on? It now operates like Suprima DRL. Currently, Preve's position light operates at 1/3 brightness. With DRL enabled, once you start your engine, it goes full brightness. Turn the light switch from OFF to position lights or the headlights, it dims to current brightness. In other words, Preve already has proper DRL, but disabled by Proton. They do make it quite a chore to enable it though.

So basically, it's like graphic card chip, they just water down some transistor counts to lower amount to produce cheaper graphic card
