So i bought my copy of GTA 5 Special Edition R1 recently and i was wondering whether i can play online with my friends who got the R3 version of the game? Searched everywhere and still cant get a proper answer.

I think R* don't region-lock their games.

Only game I know that is completely f**ked up is Persona 4 Arena. That's the only game that you have to worry when buying because it's the only game for PS3 that is region locked.

I was in Japan just last 2 weeks and I saw the new Jojo fighting game by Namco Bandai. I wanted to get it, but it specifically said JAPAN ONLY. I didn't want to try pushing my luck, although in most cases I can just buy without worry.
