Greetings dear Lowyat.NET PC enthusiasts and modders. We are glad to announce the launch of ASUS ‘Join In The Gold Rush’ competition, inviting Lowyat.NET Forum Users to create stylish custom builds. From 1 October 2013 until 11 November 2013, contestants are encouraged to create a blinged-out build based around ASUS gold motherboards. Entry is via the competition website at http://www.asus.com/microsite/2013/MB/gold_rush_promotion. The public and industry experts will all vote for their favorites and both entrants and the voting public will have chance to win some fantastic, including an ASUS X79-Deluxe motherboard, GeForce® GTX770 graphics card, Intel® Core i7™ processor and the new Google Nexus 7 tablet, built by ASUS.
How to Participate
1. Create gorgeousness with ASUS gold. Upload 9 photos of a blinged-out build featuring an ASUS gold-themed motherboard (Intel X79, Z87, H87, Q87, B85, H81, AMD FM2+ Series). Build tiny or tower, water-cooled or something built from scratch – a scratch mod. Color-match components, use pretty pipework or fit lights that flash to match– it’s your choice. Why stop at the PC? Add color-matched peripherals or paint your computer den to let your build bask in the golden glory. Enough inspiration — now create and color-match in your own image. Don’t forget that at least 3 of your photos must show clearly the motherboard.
2. The 10 builds that receive the most user votes will be presented to a panel of industry judges who will choose five winners — 1st place, two 2nd places and two 3rd places.
