QUOTE(JohnLai @ Apr 6 2015, 01:13 AM) =.= it seem the throttle doesnt happen when using windows pppoe ipv6 via bridge mode, i dunno why.Didn't modify anything this time, apparently TM seems to implement traffic shaping on youtube ipv6 CDN. Exactly at 1AM just now, I can confirm IPV6 youtube can stream at 400kb/s. Will report back here on when the throttling will start tomorrow. Update 1 : Now is 9.43AM, IPV6 Youtube full speed ahead at 400kb/s..... Update 2 : 10.30AM, turbo at 400kb/s Update 3 : DARN, 11.00AM, IPV6 Youtube back to louse 50kb/s!!!! Note : at 10.59AM, still turbo, exactly 11AM slow down back to pointless 50kb/s!!! Conclusion, TM is throttling IPV6 Youtube connection from 1AM to 11 AM. As for those who claim my MTU is too high or low, it isn't. My adsl router ip6tables log: Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT 16 packets, 1382 bytes) pkts bytes target prot opt in out source destination 0 0 TCPMSS tcp any any anywhere anywhere tcp flags:SYN,RST/SYN TCPMSS clamp to PMTU MTU is never an issue in first place. This is pure automated throttling. IPV4 Youtube isn't affected. Back to using pure IPV4, screw this useless throttling. UPDATE: i am getting full speed youtube ipv6 via router at 2AM, should be due to throttle. This post has been edited by Alpha_Tay: Oct 11 2015, 02:19 AM |

I need some help guys, what did I wrongly set? I can see the "IPv6" tag on my post so I guess it's working. But then I can't run the speed test on ipv6-test.com, I am guessing it's because of the hostname issue?

QUOTE(asellus @ Nov 6 2013, 10:38 PM) I think the latest default firmware of that router does not support IPv6. You need third-party firmware like OpenWRT to make it support TM's IPv6 dual-stack service. asellus, so you suggest ipv6 user to use OpenWRT?[attachmentid=3709440] Barrier Breaker is the easiest although Attitude Adjustment is possible too. Beta Barrier breaker builds does not have a webgui though, therefore you have to be comfortable at using command-line. any idea on dd-wrt working on TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND? I searched high and low and just managed to find this method (flashing V3 firmware on a V2) http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php...tlwr1043nd+ipv6 |

Cause the stock firmware doesn't work well with default settings. You should really read everything carefully there though. |

But aggressive protocols like torrent can still take up bandwidth. Traditional QOS not so good on latency. But it can really hammer aggressive protocols down and give maximum bandwidth to others. SQM - "guarantee" latency. Better gaming? QOS - "guarantee" bandwidth. Better youtube/streaming? Can only install and use one at a time. Switch between both to find what you need best. No shortcuts. |

QUOTE(andrew9292 @ Nov 29 2015, 12:37 PM) For internet only: Oh okay! thanks! For internet + IPTV, add one more Vlan 600 line: CODE VLAN ID----CPU------------------------------------Port6 600--------Off. Untagged. Off. Off. Off. Tagged. Tagged But I am using 1043nd V2 + openwrt and it seems requires me to preserve Vlan1 and 2 and set the vlan1 tagged to cpu than set the "LAN" interface to "eth1.1" and following interface to "eth1.x" and...it works... these tutorial is from openwrt wiki itself, I missed it and posted the problem here, sry! so, I dunno whether yours will works for me or not..anyway, thanks! result will be: [attachmentid=5402190] |
