QUOTE(blu3hamm3r @ Oct 31 2013, 12:00 PM)
I plan to upgrade to D600 due to noise performance on FX is better than DX and D600 price are much more cheaper than D610, while there is not much different on the feature between D600 and D610.

I mean if using same lens, 24-70 f.28, compare the photo shoot by D600 and D7000 at ISO1600, S100 F2.8, D600 deliver sharper image. The quality variance between D600 and D7000 look more obvious when ISO3200.
*
if u plan to upgrade, d610 is around rm300-400 more costly n has no dust issue..
FF image usually always sharper..

QUOTE(QiAnG @ Oct 31 2013, 12:07 PM)
Is the difference really that big? If they're both using the same lens then I think sharpness would be equal right? Since... same lens  blink.gif

I've used my D7000 at ISO3200 countless of times and I have to say they're quite good actually, or like Silverfire mentioned, maybe you didn't nail the focus? Or maybe you need a higher SS due to the crop sensor?  hmm.gif
*
nope..lens like 2470 they have optimum sharpness for FF bodies.. crop bodies wont be able to deliver the same sharpness.. i tried before with 2470..

I always shoot at ISO 6400.. The noise is acceptable, at least for me sweat.gif
*
shoot at high iso then ur IQ will drop alot actually.. same goes to dynamic range..jz go auto ISO~

QUOTE(ongdennis @ Oct 31 2013, 02:35 PM)
i did that as well...in term of noise performance i think both are very good already.
but the most impact i have is the focus points allocation in the D600 compare to D7000. the sensor is so big yet all focus points squeeze in the middle.
*
actually looks like squeezing in the middle cz the frame is bigger compared to d7k..

QUOTE(gunzerdude @ Oct 31 2013, 03:23 PM)
Decent quality compared to what?  hmm.gif
*
1755 2.8? brows.gif

QUOTE(AuraSapphire @ Oct 31 2013, 04:01 PM)
Then in such cases, it is safe to say better avoid it?? How do you guys feel about the AF-D 80-200mm?? Im quite on a tight budget or the Tamron 70-200mm VC (Import) set is better?? Mind sharing your opinions?? I would actually get a Nikon 70-200mm VRII but that just cost way too much for me XD.. haha
*
siggy 70-200 2.8 oso good ar~ super sharp sharp..maybe not as accurate sometimes..bt when accurate all the skin pores come out.

Custom WB set in post ma  sweat.gif
(Edit: just checked whether setting WB in post affects my EXIF, apparently it still stays auto if it's set that way in camera, sorry about that)  sweat.gif

Ohh sorry, Xda Nano coat laugh.gif

But yeah, wide open or stopped down, performance is the same.

Price difference lies in the fact that the 17-55 is solidly built. (And has "Nikon" stamped on it)
*
seriously? sharpness in 1755 at corners and sides are better at least.. and got gold ring. tamron oso gold la..bronze one.

Got meh? I tested side by side no difference wor  hmm.gif

Plus have to take into account that tamron has field curvature issues, testing using a flat subject will definitely give the advantage to the 17-55.

Gold ring doesn't mean everything 1 lah.  doh.gif
*
gold ring is like "Nike" or perhaps "LV" lidat..haha..

Don't worry, you will get the hang of it quickly. When I moved on from D90 --> D700, it was pretty quick within the day itself. D700 --> D800 even easier tongue.gif
*
d90 already quite complicated for me when i tried haha..

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Nov 5 2013, 01:10 PM)
D90 got live view etc and the menu is different already, i touch D80 before the menu already almost same with D800... D70s menu looks like window 95 compare with window vista (D90) and window 8 (D800) learning curve  laugh.gif
*
d800 drool.gif bt my wrist cannot take it..small wrist. guess it's either d610 or used d600..
