So far I think for wedding actual day, I think getting another D700 would work better.

Somehow I prefer my D700 over D800 for actual wedding day... the D800 is less tolerant to shakes.

Ok thanks. I have the budget for the camera only.
Because the most disturbing part is i saw 32gb is only 400 raw photos for D800. I need to upgrade pc again later. D700, 16gb i cant get 1000+ raw photos. Imagine the hard drive i need to store those.
That is gila weh rclxub.gif But D700 is good enough for now. Just that 36mp seems very attractive to me.

Tolerant to shakes? explain please.

For vacation. A full frame (d800 or d700 or any). Grip. plus 28mm and 50mm enough.

Lol? You can't say like that la, you know how much a d800/d700 weights after adding a battery grip?

Yeah, with what I have now, I would prefer only bringing the body and 24-70mm only next time.
Will no longer bring the 50mm, tripod and flash anymore. I'd rather improvise than having brokeback with the gears  laugh.gif

For landscape shots can just get something to rest the DSLR on. With a tripod mount attach to the body + lens with lens cap, the entire camera can "stand" perfectly linear and stable XD

For night shots can use handphone torchlight to bounce light from walls/ people with white shirt LOL  laugh.gif  laugh.gif Or if no choice, use built-in flash XD

If only I have a mirrorless XD
Still, long time to go before my next trip~
Still editing my photos from Phuket  yawn.gif

haha laugh.gif true. very heavy. but recently i went to a trip. i brought a cheap mirrorless cam. portable. but the iq. focus was awful. went back to malaysia, saw the pics. disappointed.

maybe my next trip to dubai this jan, i will try bring my d700 grip and 24-70mm. see how it goes. or myabe if i have my money, buy a 28mm and go with 28mm and 50mm only

Curious, which cheap mirrorless you bought? hmm.gif
Recent cheap ones like the NEX3n can really perform very well in terms of IQ and noise performance; sometimes even better than my previous D90 I think. Time flies!

Wah, Dubai is very beautifullei!!
Looking forward to your photos  brows.gif  brows.gif
