QUOTE(NightFelix @ Oct 12 2013, 01:51 AM) Actually I really went to Sony shop today and look for RX100 but the boss over there said RX100 no longer sell, only RX100 v2, then the boss recommend me buy so len interchangeable one for more future proof. lol pretty much like you choosing desktop or laptop what are the different between "Compact Interchangeable-Lens Cameras" and "Digital SLRs"? I read an article here: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2369450,00.asp |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Oct 12 2013, 12:07 PM) oh man, that was nightmare for me. prime lens:it was like my first time bought my desktop/laptop 5years ago. Hmm... I think stick with Nikon since here Nikon community more than Canon, easier to ask for help in the future. I guess Sony Nex series is small compact len interchangeable type, while the below the Nikon model I talking about is normal DSLR(entry type), right? So few question in my mind, D3100/3200/5100/5200, by looking at the number of the model, I assume each of them are upgraded version according to their number, right? what are the main differents between D3100/3200 to the D5100/5200. So is the price almost the same? Ps. what is the mean of Prime lens? fix focal lens, usually comes with big aperture well the lens trade off flexible focal/zoom range but will gain the bigger aperture. and very light too. unless your are talking about 24-70 f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8 This post has been edited by Agito666: Oct 12 2013, 12:16 PM |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Oct 12 2013, 01:07 PM) ah I see.. if is fix focal lens, then would it be hard that you can't zoom in or out to snap, so we have to take our camera to walk closer or further to snap our target? http://dslr.nikon-asia.com/beginner1/en/Another thing I not quite understand between ISO and Aperture ( I read the guide from The Verge here) ISO is light absorb into the sensors, so the aperture means?? |

QUOTE(gunzerdude @ Oct 14 2013, 03:05 AM) It's not just ISO you have to worry about, changing the ISO to higher or lower values only compensates for the amount of light in a scene (so that the shutter speed is high enough to prevent blurring). You might need teach him to use metering as well XDIt still does not affect the camera's decision to take a brighter or darker photo. The exposure compensation buttons is how you "tell" the camera that you want the photo to be brighter or darker. |

Dissapointed with nikon, refresh flawed camera with next to no upgrades, just fixes. If not because I'm so aquainted with nikon's ergonomics and colors, I already follow Silverfire jump also liao. |

QUOTE(exquisite_markas @ Oct 15 2013, 07:54 PM) Well, that really make sense. So we edit in RAW when we have just a few of the best photos to touch-up. RAW like a raw beef steak vs JPEG 70% cooked beef steak Besides the benefit of retaining more details and info in an image, what other advantages that we can in editing RAW photos? aside wide range editing i think no more already. i'm not sure how detail about raw vs jpeg la, but i think raw might can get a very fine detail...but file size also larger of course edit: you got RAW+ JPEG option right?? use that and compare la This post has been edited by Agito666: Oct 15 2013, 07:59 PM |

QUOTE(exquisite_markas @ Oct 16 2013, 12:28 AM) Haha... I am also kidding la sifu. dont worry that is hard plastic... my D70s brought to sand there also no problem.. just never put on water and sand...bring alone beach got XDBut the D5100 is not entirely made of metal, some parts are plastic. So should be more rust-resistance. after that need clean up because got many particles stick on that, better advise you get a filter cover your lens first XD |
