A question for those connected with VGA connection. Play a DVD on your 360. Does the 360 now upconverts it to resolution other than its 480p?
There are reports that with the new update, the 360 now works basically like those expensive DVD player that have the upconverting capabilities. Native DVD resolution is 480p, but there are commercially available DVD players that can upconverts the video feed to 720p and 1080i.
hey string, i'm on VGA HD connected to our 42" plasma. usually what happens is that whenever i pop a DVD in, the reso drops to 480p. but after the update, i checked.. and the reso didn't drop, instead it stood at 720p just like what i've set the 360 on. what does that say? There are reports that with the new update, the 360 now works basically like those expensive DVD player that have the upconverting capabilities.
