I got it from Samsung shop.. i think level 2 in Lowyat. It's awesome because it replaces the backcover...

In fact it makes the phone feels more solid..

Is it the original S-View cover? Can you tell me the price? The same one with this pic?user posted image

Only certain app can be added tho you can remove any apps that listed by edit setting.

Edit : all the apps that can be added...already auto add into the list.
*
I can't find the setting, can you tell me where's the setting to add/remove app inside Pen Window?

I thought only Samsung / Google related apps that listed in Pen Window application, but in my case WhatsApp also included. But no Gallery / Music apps (although these are Samsung default app).

they advertise this feature a lot but they should really make it compatible with more apps, i'm sure devs would make it work perfectly in the future
Yeah, this function is really great. I already tested open all 9 apps plus Multi Window and bragging to my friends, and they're speechless, especially iPhone user. brows.gif

Hehe. But I still respect Apple/iPhone as their core business in making iPhone OS and hardware by themselves (although, not all, especially some chipsets). Waiting Microsoft/Nokia collaboration in the future to challenge them. icon_idea.gif

Its not really a collaboration now. It was a collaboration and I think its a failure.

Now Nokia is eaten by Microsoft and there's no Nokia name anymore on Smartphone.

Original Nokia will be doing LTE base station for Maxis, DiGi and the likes of it.
*
Yes, I agree. But I just hope something good can happen in the future. Well, it's undeniable facts that Windows is still the major OS that we use for PC. Looking for current mobile specs, I do believe Microsoft can make something from their collaboration, not just plain-looking Windows Mobile that we saw today hmm.gif (this is my personal opinion, sorry if I'm offended anyone).

For more easier comparison, see Ubuntu Edge. This is the things that exactly I'm looking for in smartphone, but instead using true Windows. thumbup.gif

Well, I still a fan of Android though. cool2.gif

Well you can do that with custom launcher, eg. Apex Launcher. Tested with mine before and it works without root.

Awesome home screen!

It is not advisable snap with cover on it, top part do slightly cover and the quality degrade.

See sample below.

Left: With S View Cover | Right: Without S View Cover

All 16:9 I snap is 9.6MP, I only change to 4:3 which is 13MP when comparing with iPhone 5 as iPhone 5 photo is 4:3 ratio.
*
Great, thanks! thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif Now I see the differences.

So, I take your advise then. Well, at least the pics is still view able.

Right. But you need a PC/Notebook with USB 3.0 port to take advantage of the higher transfer speed. I just transfer about 8 GB of movie files from my Vaio Pro 11 to the phone external SDCard and it just took under 5 mins. The Vaio comes with default USB 3.0 ports
*
Wow, what SD card you used? I'm using Transcend 32GB Class 10 already, but still slow when copying data although using USB3.0 transfer mode.

I tested it before, copying to internal storage for 1.8GB movie takes less than 1 minute. That's great.
But I take nearly 6 minutes to copy the same file into my phone external SD card. cry.gif

I'm thinking of changing my SD card now, but it need to wait because I plan to buy the S-View cover first. unsure.gif

I am using sandisk 64gb class 10
*
Thanks. smile.gif

I've made a few test just now. Using two cables, USB3.0 and USB2.0 original from Samsung into my USB3.0 port, I've tested copying an exactly 500MB file from C Drive (using SSD) into my internal and external storage (SDCard).

Here's the result.

-----------------
USB2.0 C: to Phone
Start 9:46:00
End 9:46:14
Total 14 Secs
Speed 35.74MB/s

USB2.0 C: to Card
Start 9:47:00
End 9:47:48
Total 48 Secs
Speed 10.42MB/s

-----------------
USB3.0 C: to Phone
Start 9:41:00
End 9:41:08
Total 8 Secs
Speed 62.50MB/s

USB3.0 C: to Card
Start 9:42:00
End 9:42:48
Total 48 Secs
Speed 10.42MB/s

Yeah, USB3.0 actually improve the transfer speed, although not too big in difference. And it quite fast for a single, big file. icon_rolleyes.gif
Well, this is just a simple, not repeated test (result surely different if testing using 100 4KB files). smile.gif

So, I think my card is not actually defect (hope so whistling.gif ), because I believe the standard class 10 is somewhere around 10MB/s. The speed is same either using 2.0 or 3.0.
This is surely not true if using the faster one, eg Sandisk Extreme Pro.

Nope, refer to my previous post:

Although my testing is simple (using single 500MB file only), but surely have difference in speed. Not to mention that charging is faster.

Yeah, like others stated, USB3.0 is not the only reason I bought N3. That's alot more reasons, no need mention here as everyone is already knows (SPen, Procs, RAM, LTE etc etc). smile.gif

please teach me how to done it , love your simple home screen, totally got ios7 feel as well  rclxms.gif
*
Well, here's my step.

Apex, Homescreen setting:
1. Portrait grid, set 9 row and 7 column
2. Icon size to 80%.
3. Tick Use tablet UI mode
4. Tick Transparent notification bar
5. Set Show persistent search bar to Never
6. Tick Hide icon labels

Apex, Dock setting:
Should automatically set to Off (because we already set to tablet UI)
If, you want to enable Dock setting back to On, then it's no problem.
Just tick "hide dock divider" to remove the divider.

Apex, Theme setting:
Of course, select ClickUI. tongue.gif (Kindly noted that this is not free)

Well, your theme is almost complete. Just insert Zooper Widget Free (4 x 3), select ProgressClock, and you're done! thumbup.gif
I just did some tweak though for the widget to change the date format.

That's the Zooper widget built in widget. You can customise to suit your needs

Thanks for replying! Yes, I'm using Zooper Widget, ProgressClock layout. I totally missing his question, because of how fast this thread grows. shocking.gif

QUOTE(johnny82 @ Oct 2 2013, 10:54 AM)
lets say u get the zooper widget..then whats the point of using the apex launcher? is apex better than the samsung touchwiz?
*
Well both are difference in nature. Apex is a custom launcher, meant to replace your current homescreen (yeah for Samsung the default is Touchwiz). The powerful feature of custom launcher is of course, customization. Well, if you don't want to change anything and happy with your current launcher, just leave it. cool2.gif

Zooper Widget is, yeah, a widget. Mostly for inserting custom date/time/weather etc etc. I don't know if you need further explanation for this. Maybe I'm just being lazy now. Hehe blush.gif

ok good point.. sorry newbie in android still
just jump from iOS.. lol

another question.. lets say if can use alternative launcher from playstore
why would ppl still root the phone?
i tot rooting was to use a diff launcher? (or is there sth more im missing)
*
QUOTE(alexng2208 @ Oct 2 2013, 11:06 AM)
let's see

by rooting i can
1. flash a custom ROM
2. flash a custom kernel
3. flash stuff
4. access the / folder, which is the root folder, hence rooting
5. basically, rooting is like being able to do anything with the phone like on a normal windows machine. not rooted meaning you can install and uninstall applications, but cannot see what is installed nor gain access to the / folder
6. ios is worse, you can't have a filesystem pun
7. it enables nandroid backup, which is like a .img of your phone
*
Yes, good point. The simple way to put is, rooting grant us a total control on our phone. Almost everything.
If you came from IOS, surely heard about jailbreak right? Its the same thing. thumbup.gif

And rooting void your warranty. But you can unroot back. No worries.
