QUOTE(Vodoo2k @ Oct 2 2013, 08:49 AM) Guys, sorry but i had to ask. This morning while using my S-pen, i noticed one strange thing. It seems that there is a void on my display area where the S-pen will not register or fail to write. I had to press a bit plus it does not align with the tip of the s-pen. First i thought that my lcd is faulty but then when i use my finger, it works perfectly leaving the s-pen as the main suspect. Have anyone of you experienced this? Appreciate replies. See the attached picture. Bob 0123093980 Typical magnetic case symptom.

QUOTE(N30rang3r @ Oct 2 2013, 09:08 AM) magnetic casing effect - is that permanent or temporary damage? AFAIK not permenant. Remove the magnetic casing and the screen will recover eventually. QUOTE(destEX @ Oct 2 2013, 09:08 AM) so it's due to the magnet being at the bottom of the cover eh? luckily my current cover's magnet is at the strap Bottom should be ok. My friend uses magnet casing at the bottom and had no issues.

QUOTE(chunpang @ Oct 2 2013, 04:03 PM) Hi All, I tried to charge Note 3 using my old original charger for Galaxy S i9000 charger and it does charge. Would this has adverse effect on the phone/battery? I'm using this because the original cable supplied with Note 3 are quite short. It would just take longer to charge.

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Oct 2 2013, 05:03 PM) If there is no solution to Knox and device will void warranty if rooted, this will be my last Sammy device. No point having a ferari when it can't be driven at full speed. Dunno leh. So far it dun seem too bright a future to overturn the knox counter. But to be fair voiding knox should only void the usage of the knox application AND not the phone. Depends on how samsung malaysia wanna implement this.

QUOTE(tokan_jahat @ Oct 3 2013, 08:33 AM) Im a noob android user and i really interested of this "root" process. It seems that we can uninstall bloatware, right? Can someone shows me how is it done? Is there any good tutorial somewhere that can be share? Is it safe for the my device? Ive already done jailbreaking my ps3 and psp, so im looking foward to this. Please note that rooting will void your warranty and you cannot hide it at the moment from service center.

QUOTE(KMercury @ Oct 3 2013, 02:40 PM) Ofcourse the correct one. ''CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005". At first i thought i downloaded the wrong one. Already check. Still cant figure out what is causing the issue. I did enable KNOX previously. Now already disabled and uninstall KNOX and still showing the same thing Try redownload the root file. Maybe download corrupted or something.

QUOTE(tarm @ Oct 3 2013, 03:15 PM) Tricktster need root. Just installed system turner, cpu temp shows 50degree, If playing games with casing and stuff may even reach 60. But i read even note 2 the cpu should be able to withstand to even 80 - 90. 50 is common if using the phone alot.

QUOTE(tigerporc @ Oct 4 2013, 09:02 AM) Why so difficult to understand? Device is new and expensive, any issues yet still unknown (remember EMMC brickbug causing SDS) People are just being prudent, not everyone can afford to forgo warranty for the 1st year. You don't get his point. Root is readily available so the "not root equation" really does not make sense. Being afraid to void warranty through rooting does not equate to no root. And if knox is using efuse to secure its warranty, no one will be able to revert it ever again, hence there will never be a way to root another samsung device without voiding warranty. Only hope is Samsung coming out and say voiding knox does not void device warranty OR just buy insurance for your phone if you are afraid of losing warranty.
