Anyone in Penang got their hands on XZU LTE official units already? I been calling every Sony Ctr and none of them have any units for sale yet....zzz

They don't even seem to be aware of the 17th Oct availability date zzz

Some even say yes they have when I approach their outlet but when they brought the unit out, its 3G units

Yeah, I am also concern about shipping, RM2k+ is a lot to me if it gets lost in transit

Tired from waiting for the availability of LTE edition at Sony Centres in Penang, I am placing my order from directd and paid him. Now waiting for the arrival of my purple unit tomorrow. Hopefully the transaction is smooth as this is my first time buying from them.

If you're in Penang, I think it will be worst waiting for SenQ / Harvey Norman than waiting for Sony Centre. Better buy thru Directd or other trusted seller here.

Yes! It's totally mind boggling to have even got replies such as :

1. Sony Gurney : Malaysia wont be bringing in LTE edition at all.
2. Sony Queensbay : LTE edition have not launched yet (reply on 20th Oct).
3. Sony Mobile MY Facebook : Whatever post / message to them will never get you any reply at all.
4. Sony Malaysia Facebook : There is no tentative date for launching of XPERIA Z Ultra LTE. We will keep you update from Official website once the launching date confirm. Thanks again for your interest. (This reply is again on 20/10/13)

Yep, transit from pos malaysia is the most worrisome. But Directd does provide shipping insurance if you pay additional 1.5% from the item price which I paid for and which turns out not so bad. RM2020 + RM20 since I went for the Purple colour so RM2040 x 1.5% = additional RM30.60 and add RM12 for poslaju so total : RM2082.60 is a fair price. Still RM116.40 cheaper than getting from Sony Centre. Can get a casing & SP and still have balance for teh tarik.

You're right bro...but in Penang there's no dealer or reseller having the LTE edition yet. I don't usually buy item with such price tag online but I don't have much choice given the situation in Penang.

Yep, I m sure directd is...no doubt about that...only concern is postage.

Well...I m still thinking between SW2 and Kreyos (www.kreyos.com). The latter can connect to both Android and IOS devices. My main phone is still IP5, XZU LTE gonna be my tablet replacement.

What do u think? SW2? Kreyos?

Kreyos looks enticing but I am not in their pre-order group so, gonna wait till the product is really available in the market b4 deciding on it. Initial teething problems might exist especially in such new company and new project.

You're very brave to have not gotten insurance for those items there. I can be very unlucky at times hence, didn't wanna take my chances. Or was it I got too many disappointment whilst waiting for the LTE launch till I become skeptical....didn't wanna "make believe" it arrives when it never haha. Will update here once item received tomorrow.

They have been saying it since last week.

18/10 : They said will arrive in the evening, later said maybe tomorrow arrive due to rain. Ask me to call at 12pm tomorrow.

19/10 : Around 2pm, I called, said haven't arrived, will surely reach tomorrow (Sun).

20/10 : 4pm I called, said haven't arrived.

21/10 : I called again, still haven't arrived.

After that I lazy to call or even wanna hear their reason already, just transfer my money to directd for a purple LTE edition.

Yesterday was supposed to arrive from directd, it did but upon opening the package it was a WHITE colour

Bad luck struck again So I am supposed to go over to one of his friend's shop in the evening today to swap the purple for my white unit at my hand. Luckily I read the labels at the box and have not opened the sealed box.

I hope I will not be FFK again later today.

Getting XZU LTE is almost a mission impossible for me

To those who got the LTE models recently or those models with free Akazoo access and 6 free movies. Did u guys claim it? How is it? Especially the movies. What r those movies mentioned?

I can't seem to get the Akazoo activated. Didn't get any SMS returned with username n password.

Oo yeah! But so far nothing more powerful than the current snapdragon 800 announced yet. So it's gonna be 2014-15 roadmap already.
