Ya I also think like this. I use phone for calling and Facebook only, 3GS can done it.

Than why all this while you need to spend so much money on the earlier smartphones. If I were you , I will save it for my future further study needs. The future is not always so rosy as now unless your parents are indeed very rich and has plenty of assets

Very disappointed that my 1 week old Xperia Z ultra failed to make the cut for KITKAT update!  A bit regret buying this over Nexus 7 LTE!
*
The XZU will definitely get kit Kat update but not now. What do you mean _" failed to make the cut"
The N7 LTE is just a tablet that CANNOT be used to make calls

tq sir for sharing this... i'm holding my update to 257 after reading your post.I read somewhere that 532 still not resolving SOD issue so i wonder whether it has any difference than 510? If yes I would like to update it to 532  smile.gif

I never have SOD issue at all since the first original firmware till 532 and 257 ( on both my previous 3G and present LTE models). This does not happen to every user. The only issue till 510 was the fake hang but that can be easily resolved by enabling optimised backlight on always. My 532 versions on both my phones does not even have the fake hang issues. But than some users had reported leaving this backlight on makes their display worse and again affect only some users. I guess this is due to the different manufacturer used by Sony on their display.
Try it yourself , than only you will know

Guess what, Z Ultra LTE price drop again today, now it's RM1639 ! For this price it is a bargain for big screen lovers.

Is that AP or Msia Sony pricing ?

Hmm.. Few days ago I decided to just drain my ZU and see how long it can last, weird enough when it hit 5% another warning will come out. So ok, just press ok and continue surfing net etc. The moment it hits 4%, auto shut down. Is this normal? I mean why auto shut down at 4%? If 1% then shut down ok la can accept.

So my question is this normal? Or is there a setting for it? Any fixes?

Help much apreciated.

I think is a built in safeguard. It is infact a big risk ( my experience) draining battery to 1% n below for phones/tablets with build in unremovable batteries. Phone will fail reboot even with full charge thereafter. Only service center can revive phone . OR you are enterprising enough to remove casing n unhook battery connectors n recharge it again.

The service center should give you a better answer instead from any of us. And we do not know what is wrong with your phone
