I personally prefer hearthstone because of the arena. I hope doc will have something like it (draft).

My problem with doc has always been the lack of cards to compete in higher levels of elo/tourneys. with arena/draft you have a level playing field, where only skills and luck matter.

Same reason i only play draft in mtg, making a good deck is too expensive.

Is the new pre made deck worth it? Costs 1700 seals right now I've accumulated 1400+ seals... Wondering when will it last till?

It has 4 dark assassins and many good cards (used by a player in championship tournament). Anyone else got it, how is it? Good?

if you are a very new player with not many cards, it's worth, as it is a top quality deck, but if you have most of the cards, then no, it's not

for someone like me, i won't buy it although having a few copies of blackskull rider and shredder doesn't hurt which i have none, but those cost me 1.8k seals which is absurd, lul

lack of cards can be solved via
1. time, grind duels for gold to buy new cards to enhance own deck
2. even longer time, long in 7 days a week for free gold, seals
3. real monies, buy new decks with real dollars to enhance own deck

i'm on method 2. since i am not in a hurry.
mm doc combat has more depth for me anyway than hearth stone.

btw mmdoc got -30% discount on steam now until 6pm before it reverts back to -20% for the xmas sales.

Just versus an enemy (inferno hero) that shocked me.. He had no creatures at the floor.. Keep casting stone shield to protect his hero then keep returning back cards to my hand. He end it by using Tower of Oblivion.. My hero end up lost badly with -8 hp.. He still had 14 hp... It was insane first time kena from such a deck... He said that he total only have 4 creatures in his deck rclxub.gif

Currently at 800+ ELO I'm changing to more lower resource stronghold and inferno decks.. Guess they are called rush decks.. So far doing well.. Spam like 4 cards for each good 1-5 resource creature/spell/fortune. Deck total is 60+ cards

those decks are otk fortune decks, strongest one would be played by sandal now which is known as prison lock / sandalock

anyway, fortune deck is strong, but weakest vs dhamira, and rush decks are stronger on low elo, weaker at higher elo, but is more like 35-45% change on winning a top tier deck - bonus another 5% for perfect hand that can kill almost any deck i guess

In my opinion, mmdoc is better than hs in many way. Of course the highlight of hs is the arena/draft but i never really like draft. I prefer a fully optimized deck so a ranked game suits me better. The best part of arena/draft is that u cn play cards that u normally wouldnt have. However (i might be wrong here), in real life draft you get to keep your cards once the game ends, so means that if u managed to get really good cards, u might be able to use it in a proper deck. But iinm, in hs the cards will be gone once you r out of the arena. Another good point of draft is that there are cards that normally unusable in normal decks but very strong on draft. However the lack of depth when it comes to strategy or mechanic pushed me away from hs. Not just the mechanic, the system of 30 cards deck and max 2 copies of each made the game feels lacking. aha i also hv a personal grudge with blizzard when they cancelled wow tcg to give support for hs. kond of a d*** move after o just spend hundreds on their latest expansion when they suddenly announce thtwill be tjeir last expansion.

anyway, i was thinking of getting that special haven deck on steam for the alternatw art of cassandra.. so cool laa the art

Yea after much thought I decided to not pursue the Road to Paris premade deck. purchased a box of void rising instead and end up having a decent Sanctuary deck + hero Ishuma. Stacked lots of coral priestess + snow maiden /Yuki ona + some melee units kappa + Boost honor units, kabuki + Warizame + frozen touch units. Ooh suddenly I feel so Japanese typing such names laugh.gif Spells will be focusing on water and light dmg spells. Fortune cards are spy + return to deck cards. Total keeping at 60 cards.

Maneuvering and outplacing opponents + rush deck is so much fun. Keeping it at 5/4/2 so that I can draw out the cards I need and use my hero abilities too.

I feel Santuary are stronger than Academy due to their hypnosis and outmaneuvere abilities.( These two skills are useful against swift creatures. ) I've been wrecked many times by such Sanctuary decks and got my inspiration from them biggrin.gif

sanctuary not that strong afterall.. maybe coz i'm still lacking cards.. zzz

back to good ol' Arianna necro deck. Did a few more adjustments realized I was weak earlier due to using 70 cards.. bad mistake. 61 cards is max, 59 is best. Keeping it to 10 stats too. 4/6/0

really tempted to get the Road to Paris deck, did further research online many now are realizing its value, they are saying to buy it if you really wanna master Stronghold.

I calculated the amount of wildcards needed to build that same deck, is ALOT (for me, coz i dont have pao deathseekers or assasins - these 2 already costs 30+ wildcards. Vulture Rider and Blackskull warrior also worth it). Full deck: http://tools.mmdocking.com/decks/show/2414

sanc strongest hero is probably still ishuma, and could still be one of the top decks in the meta for now

best cards to have in a deck is not more than 60 (unless that 1 card additional really kills your deck, so 59)

if you are new, seals are easy to come by and when you bought that deck, i'm pretty sure that you will be able to get back your investment pretty soon, still that's -1.8k seals though, worth it only if you are new (maybe below level 20 and spent no real money in the game yet)

yeah and Hero maxout best is 7 or 6... alot ppl dont realize that too as it can affect your hero's card draws and his utilization of cards. And recommended to have 30 creatures, 20 spells/fortunes (can mix or just spells/fortunes alone, 10 spells + 10 fortunes is the best, not recommended to use above 3 fortune requirement cards). For my Arianna deck I totally discard Fortune due to her strong reliance on some powerful end game spells.

For example, I am using a standard Hero, which begins with 1 might,
1 magic and 2 destiny. The cards in my deck go as high as 4 might, 4 magic
and 3 destiny. So I need to raise might 3 times, magic 3 times and destiny
once. This is a total of 7 raises needed, so maxout=7.

My advice is to aim for a maxout of no more than 6 to begin with. If you go
beyond that, you will often find yourself too stretched in different
directions. You may well have to choose between using the higher level cards
of one sort, or the high level cards of another. This will leave a group of
cards redundant for possibly the whole of that duel, as you just won't have
the time to get the skills up before your opponent overwhelms you.

haha, you are a bigger fan than me then, XD

most ishuma plays with cleansing light only, but if you want some other form of board control, use sunburst, it catches some other people off guard
