I find many Booker Prize winning books, especially Mantel ones, really hard to read. I guess the taste is too acquired for me.

Don't feel disappointed that you're not enjoying it, you're not alone.

Update:

I've stopped reading this book. Read only about 25%.

Gave up. Too boring. Style of writing not suitable for me.

Oh, too bad you weren't able to get into Wolf Hall. But yeah, seeing as it took you almost six months to cover only 25%…haha. I read it back in 2010 and enjoyed it quite a bit. Haven't got around to the second one yet (Bring Up The Bodies), but it's on my To Be Read list. Yes, it took me a while to get used to the author's style: Who the heck is "he"?

In the past, for unknown reasons, I'd force myself to finish a book no matter how boring I found it. Now, if the first 150 pages don't catch my interest, I move on to the next book. Reading should be fun.
