Don't think dealer or Honda Malaysia will willing to swipe your card for rm15k as it'll incur 2% or more cost for them, unless you bear the costs.

Seems like all the jazz owners are either very busy or very quiet  laugh.gif

Anyway, wanna check with you all whether you all experience any starter motor problem?

Changed mine under warranty but it seems like the problem still persists. Read a few owners also had this problem.

Can you please describe the starter problem...? As in it's hard to start the car like battery starting to die, but it's not exactly batt problem...?

Yes, it's like a poorly charged battery and the starter has no power to crank the engine.

It'll crank 1 time and pause for 1-2 seconds, then only it'll crank.  rclxub.gif

Yes, my GE has this problem...

Oh is it? I had honda SC diagnose it for me and they say it's the starter problem and it's quite common. After I changed it, it went away for at least 2-3 months. Then it came back but not as bad as last time. That's why I kinda annoyed and changed the car  laugh.gif

Small problem already change car... ph34r.gif

Ok, Honda AutoWorld SB confirms my starter has problems, but before I can claim warranty, I was told that I need to remove my Voltage Stabliser off my car battery.

Ok, VS removed, now they tell me that my car battery is not original and not up to spec, cannot proceed until car battery is changed.

Deng...!!! vmad.gif

That fooking battery came with my car and I installed VS on top of it for over 2 years liao, and they said Honda don't issue wet batteries on new cars, only maintenance-free batteries. Pookemak, had to fork out 200 bucks to change battery just to claim warranty.

I'm writing in to Honda to complain dy. If they can't provide original battery when delivering cars, imagine what other fooking parts that are NOT original being installed on new cars...? ranting.gif bangwall.gif

Bro, maybe it is the problem of your Honda sales agent.
They can swap out anything before you getting the car.

What's more mind-boggling is that to qualify for warranty claims, my battery has to be Honda certified specs. Meaning if your original battery dies within 3- or 5-year warranty period, you will have to buy a battery from Honda SC, else if you buy and install outside, say bye bye to your warranty.

If your car battery dies outside somewhere, would you call a tow truck to have your car dragged back to Honda SC, or look for the nearest workshop to replace battery...? Which is more logical to you...?

Challenge them to show you the written rules where the battery must be supplied by Honda SC.
Also ask them whether tyres must be bought from Honda SC?

There are few items especially wear and tear type aren't covered by Honda SC.

But again, your VS already exposed your intention to modify the car. You are on the losing ground actually.
*
The fooking thing is, I went back to the Honda USJ SC where I bought the car from, they also said requires original battery, else they will not honour warranty. This one also I never mention shit about the VS...

Jus claim it elsewhere? Tried?

I remember my car came with a non maintenance free battery. I think it was a panasonic. Crapped out in 1 year flat.

I've just checked, my car came with Panasonic 34B19L non maintenance-free battery... The dealers claimed that the actual spec approved by Honda is 38B19L maintenance-free.

I assume your model is GE8 CKD...?

Changed already under warranty claim, after I changed the battery and complained to HM... They have investigated and concluded that there is a small batch of Jazz (probably numbering 1k units) that comes with non-maintenance-free battery. Right now they wanna tally my old battery with their inventory with the possibility of reimbursing my purchase of a new battery.

As for AutoWorld being a scam, I'm beginning to suspect that since my recent major service of 40k km only lasted 1 hour when it should be around 2+ hours. I seriously don't know if there are parts that are not changed or serviced... ph34r.gif

Went and enquire about the jazz, giving about 9k discount at the moment... Seems like a good deal, though it means a face-lift is coming soon at this discount rate

More like year-end stock clearance, SAs also wanna hit target...
