Better than persona 3/4?

JRPG has come a long way, and literally speaking it was the sole reason for the bad feud between Nintendo and Square(soft) back then. As linear as the gameplay goes, JRPG usually consists of a typical save the world story, sometimes distinctive elemental powers among your characters, an obligatory air plane to travel around the world, and of course, the inevitable turn based battle system.

There are some things best remain unchanged, and my opinion is definitely aligned with those of Atlus to maintain the core of the Persona series.

It is very depressing to outlive the golden era of JRPG back in the PS2 days. Gone are turned based battles, replaced with action oriented battles and contributary non-controllable NPC.

Sadly we don't have the privilege to enjoy Zelda or Xenoblade.

Also have to consider if Switch has enough exclusives worthy of the atrocious price tag.

No need, each Persona is independent from its predecessor. Although a good knowledge of the monsters will help familiarize you in your random encounters. I would strong suggest to revisit Persona 3 and Persona 4. And also if you have the chance, the original Shin Megami Tensei series. The only one available for playstation home console is SMT Nocturne.

Digital Devil Saga is also available via PSN, certainly a spin off worthy of note.

Nowadays voice acting very professional already. Unlike the golden ps2 days....<cough> <cough> Tidus laughing....

It doesn't matter when, as long as you manage to complete the mission within the given time frame. Multiple runs are perhaps necessary as maybe your characters are underleveled or financially tight to buy weapons / armors. I would suggest to make the best out of each run, keeping a tab on your SP expenditures due to the fact that you need to exploit enemies' weakness in each and every battle. Having said that, you must also equally balance out your daily activities to increase your stats / relationship with others.

For megaten franchise, I think the best opening theme is SMT digital devil saga, Alive.

Got, but not remastered

I found myself in a very tight spot financially. I haven't purchased a single armour for any of my characters, and ranged weapons as well. My game is to exploit enemy weakness and then group attack. Throughout the palace run, my characters are almost always at their full HP, right to boss battle. As for SP expenditures, I invested on SP adhesive 3.

The persona(s) are automatically registered the moment you obtained them in their default state. U may want to re-register again to summon them at acquired level.

All my protagonist in persona is named Heero Yuy

I would hope for an official Megaten series instead of Devil Summoner or Persona.

1. Megaten has darker theme.
2. Original
3. Numbered series so far only upto 4 since 1992. Very hyped.
4. No Megaten for PS3, last was for PS2 SMT Nocturne.
