I've been using the RT-N56U for 2 years. So far no problem. Has built-in support for IPTV from UniFi and Maxis.

Hi guys,

I want to ask, after 2 years, if I want to downgrade my Unifi (VIP 10 to VIP 5) is there a charge? I called to Unifi just now, they said there's a charge RM200 for my downgrade, hence I want to clarify you guys here.

I downgraded from VIP20 to VIP10 once. There are 2 options: either renew the 2 year contract or pay RM200 for the downgrade.

I have done multiple speed tests from multiple providers and the results are consistent for my VIP20 which is about 19Mbps down and 11Mbps up. Only the official unifi speedtest shows 18Mbps down and up. I lodged a report to Unifi regarding the slow speed but they say they only follow the official speed test result and closed my report without doing anything. It is very hard to believe the official unifi speedtest is accurate considering all of the other speedtests are showing the same result.

I noticed when doing the speed test at speedtest1.unifi.my, for the download test the speedometer needle moves immediately after the file transfer commenced. But for the upload test, the needle only moves after the file has transfered 15%. This gives the impression that more data has transfered in a shorter amount of time which explains the higher upload speed reported by the official test result. I have also tested my Yes4G connection with this unifi speedtest and it reports 10Mbps upload speed which I think is too high. A test with speedtest.net reports about 4Mbps upload only. So is unifi cheating?

Whats Internal Client? I put in any IP address also they say wrong and wont let me submit. aih

Leave Remote Host and Remote Mask blank. Suppose you want to port forward port 8080, then you can fill that in for external and internal port. Internal client is the LAN IP address of the computer you want to forward to. I have done this and it works.
