Generally, most of the router for streamyx won't work for unifi.
Try login to admin page and check if the unit support VLAN, and if it does check if it allow you to define the VLAN no, from there you should be able to tell if it support 3 digit.

There is no need that modem must place beside TV.
Just the modem need to be connected with Rj45 cable to the set top box that connect to the TV.

So it depends on the length of RJ45 cable.

No.
Only the HyppTV STB unit need to be placed nearby the TV.

Edited: UniFi no longer provides D-Link DIR-615 router to newly registered users. Nowadays, they only give you the L7-N-R2000 router.

Currently relocation is free of charge.
Yes, I've done it before, twice.

Call UniFi helpline & tell them you want to relocate.
Then bring all the UniFi hardware together with you when you move.

I just started UNIFI few weeks ago. The D-link DIR 615 router really suckz in term of range. Things got better after change the bandwidth to 20mhz only. The windsurfer made of aluminium doesn't really help in my case. Poor signal in first floor (double storey terrace)

Change the router to TP link WR841ND. The range is marginally better. -80 to -90 (1 or 2 bar) measured from Wifi Analyser (Android) at first floor. Hesitating to improve the range further by limiting the bandwidth to 20mhz or not, coz worrying this may compromise a bit on the speed.

Have a look if anyone sharing the same channel as u or not.
If yes then it will slow down the wireless signal.

I am using it for almost a month now. Very basic feature available. No QoS though. So far its Wifi signal is ok considering my place is not big.

what happened to my wr841nd was that, out of sudden, connection became slow, and when i reboot, it cannot connect anymore, all lights were there, no overheat, nothing, just like normal.. but in the status page it just showed connecting.. and timed out.

first i suspect it was the fiber box, although highly unlikely since it never went down for the past 3 years.. yes my line was never down for the past 3 years, not even for one day, i called up unifi tech center and they reset the line, still nothing.. so next day i bought this new asus rtn12hp, if not mistaken the model number.. so wallah, its connected now..

dunno when im going to throw this asus again, maybe not so soon since this one got 3 years warranty, was looking for linksys e2500 but all big2 shop in lowyat was out of stock.
