Online. Will call TM and confirm with them. If there's really such a package, it would be great biggrin.gif

These calls are probably made by resellers. I am already a TM UniFi subscriber for nearly 3 years and I have been getting calls from some weird-looking phone numbers claiming to be from TM asking if I am interested in UniFi services. They will always claim they are from TM, but their phone number is not even a TM number, in some cases a mobile number, so my best guess is they are resellers.

If the person can offer you both a choice TM UniFi & Maxis Fibre, very likely this reseller represents both TM & Maxis.

To all the sifus here, I've just subscribed online for UniFi VIP5 few days ago. The next day, I received a call without number shown, claiming to be from TM. She was offering me 2 packages, one is 5Mbps+HyppTV - RM149 and another one is 10Mbps - RM148, without phone, HyppTV and decoder, free 100 minutes call to Maxis numbers and unlimited calls to fixed line.

My question is, is there really such a package (RM148) for UniFi? Or it's actually Maxis Fibre?

If she is from Maxis, how did she know that I subscribed to UniFi? An 'undercover' for Maxis?  hmm.gif

dude...i have just signed up via tmshop for vip10.
magically, next day got private number call me, offer rm198 for 20mbps line WITHOUT hypptv.
once i agreed, they told me its a cooperation between tm and maxis. now this creeped me liao.
so i turn them off.

I do guess that there are undercovers in tmshop, hijacking customers!can i complain>?

TM UniFi (home users) all come with HyppTV, there is no such thing as without HyppTV unless you sign up for BIZ packages.

So if anyone call you to offer without HyppTV, that is for Maxis Fiber.

TMshop I believe is also a reseller, not TM themselves, and this reseller could also be a reseller for Maxis.

TMpoint is directly by TM, not reseller. Anything else is reseller.

So in your case its really TM... I suspect it could be the staff there earning side income by leaking out customer's info? Better you call to TM customer service & report it.

I would say complain, because my friend that is using VIP 20 getting at least 20mbps download speed. Unless you tested it when the line is not "clear" like someone or you are downloading something at the time speedtest was running.

Just got upgraded to VIP20. Guy came to my house on Saturday, said it'll be done in 5 days, which I assumed would be 5 working days.

Upgraded from VIP10? Are we actually allowed to change the subscription if we still have the contract on, maybe like from VIP10 to VIP20 or vice versa?

We are, apparently. I still had 12 months more on my VIP10 contract. Now, I've got a new 24 month contract with them. The guy said that they'll waive the penalty, but I guess I'll find out when the next bill arrive.

should i go tmpoint instead?

Depends on your usage, if you want to torrent 24/7 using wifi, prepare with Asus or something. If not, normally the stock router would be ok.

Guys ..
Im using VIP5 ... Getting horrible speed of 0.7mbps
Ping ~ 5xx MS to Singapore's Singtel

Try restart and I would get 3.xx then drop to 0.7 again .. No one using the network except me..

Throttling ?

EDIT: I found out my problem..
seems like my Steam is downloading under the background ..

Anyone relocated the unifi within the house before? I am having house back renovation, need to relocate the main modem to another wall.

Don know whether unifi will waive the charge or not...

Recently my ping to US server is like 500ms to 1000ms. Last time used to be 200ms - 300ms. Because of so high ping, I'm unable to play online game. What's wrong with Unifi nowadays? Anyone experience similar problem?
I'm on Unifi 5Mbps btw.
