Can anyone guide me? I dont have passport yet. Once I get my passport done, does it mean I can straight away book for air ticket and travel to Taiwan? Do I need to wait for 3 or 6 mths before I can use my passport to travel?

just need to refer to this list for countries that require a VISA, otherwise pay RM200, then fly to wherever

either u apply online or head over to UTC or Immigration there to apply

please be quick, school holiday coming soon and then these places will flooded with parents. each day they will only distribute certain amount of numbers only

u can collect ur passport after 2hours if not mistaken, anyway u can get it within same day

bonus:

taiwan no need visa ya. enjoy ur trip, btw, these few months kind hot weather in taiwan biggrin.gif

Thanks for replying everyone. But I am confused since I got a reply from Airasia saying this:-

"If you are traveling anywhere overseas, you need a passport to board an international flight and to enter any country. In general, your passport must be valid for at least six months after the date you enter a foreign country."

This is my first time travel overseas, I am scared that I paid air ticket but unable to fly afterwards.

Speaking of passport, you guys seen this?:
https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/worr...t-jb-checkpoint

What happens if reverse is true?

What happens if you're Malaysian and carry Malaysia passports and you entered a foreign country and they
forgot to stamp you. Do other countries ban you due to their own administrative mistake?

Another thing odd thing is, why we still care about the physical ink stamping in days of electronic biometric data entry at the border?

just go UTC at morning to issue a new passport, by afternoon you can get your new passport. Then straight away book your flight to taiwan. Even without passport, you still can book your airasia flight first. Just make sure you got your new passport before your travel date which require you to key in your passport details for check-in.

To all Malaysians with an international passport, do you notice that our number starts with an 'A' on the first page, but on the inner pages, the numbers punched into them are without the 'A' character? Now I am confused, what is really my passport number? Is A12345678 or 12345678? rclxub.gif

This is important when we buy air tickets online or applying for visas......
