Hi, the free premium channel icon had disappeared from the menu after a day. Was it only free to test one day?
There was showing in menu during the time i installed it. Any clue?
*
yes, 1-2 days free trial only.

Get a proper android box. So many choices.

really, that is the key!

it's ok to muck around with existing equipment - smart androidtv, cheap sticks, hypp stb, old pc, handphones, tablets, etc. to try all kinds of things first - as a learning process. and that can be a very short period.

after that, it's certainly very rewarding to a good androidbox - get all the apps, more stable, more reliable, more versatile.

most impt of all - for continuous learning to keep up.

i see androids advancing at an even quicker pace, will be found in almost anything "electronic smart" soon.

talking of which, my oldest android, almost 3 yrs, is showing signs of fatigue. or maybe i am now used to faster speeds, find it way too slow. laugh.gif

chance coming for me to get a new one. tongue.gif

M8. Paid. 30MBps. Auto. Default.

buffering... happens to ALL channels or just some?

paid one should be good, not much buffering.

free ones - some are fine, some are not.

is it better to use default player or external player?
*
i used mainly free but get free premium days quite often (becos i sign in all the time).

my experience with this app in the last year has been quite good, incl HD ones, whether free channels or not:

.. ethernet better than wifi.
.. own VPN deos NOT make it better (think it already is on own VPN)
.. new chipsets like android7 better than android5 better than android 4.4.
.. selection of player may make a diff - best to use the native player of the box and not ext like mx.
.. try the other server - u hv choice of 2.

thanks for the feedback. Appreciate comment on VPN because I was considering purchasing one.

Yesterday wanted to watch Federer/Nadal match but damn tough keep buffering, then same scene repeating.

I think it's server problem, cause other channels are smooth.

I've tried both asian/europe server - no difference.
*
it is indeed frustrating when u can't get to watch something u really want! biggrin.gif

afaik, live sports in hd is the most difficult.

which is why i hv multiple sources for the ones i go for - a bit of badminton and soccer.

when all hd means fail, i fall back to the the last resort - astrogo in 480p.

I'm using free one. With player MX Player, playing HBO HD lagging. I notice from player timeframe show 00:58. After that live tv streaming hanging. Any idea what best player to play it?
*
The best player to use is the built in player of cloudtv app.

Go to settings, tick native player.

Also, use ethernet... surely better than wifi.

Lastly, try switching between europe and asia servers.

yeh getting bad lag for cloud tv.

using a wireless to connect router to himedia running the app.

but ironically netflix 4k hdr works very smoothly...... so it would seem to me that wireless is not the problem in my case isn't it? so the real issue is cloud tv service speed is the problem?
i'd be fine if i just get hypptv to work, but i cannot run ethernet to it.... any suggestions? homeplug or a wireless bridge setup?  hmm.gif

a bit confusing getting the hypptv to work. Asus router already has a setup for lan port 4 for iptv use, so normally you would plug that into the hypptv box. but how to do that when physically it's not close for that setup?

so how  rclxub.gif

it is server issue.. Free stuff not always reliable.
Paid subscription will be fine, I believe.
Still some free apps work better than others.
Question is long they work.

Hypp or unifitv, if no cable connection, can use unifi playtv app but quality lower.

Astrogo hd channels are quite good.

I'm using CLoud TV, with subscription package. It's a bit lagging on HD channel.

thanks for headsup.

been looking for an updated apk... i was still using 2017! biggrin.gif

seems more are now in HD but still laggy for some free channels.

well, it's free... i m not complaining... just use what is good, forget the bad ones.

there are always some other apps that in total give enough to watch.

Moogle Stiltzkin try this new cloudtv apk on yr old box.

as for your other issues with apps not compatible, etc, u should get a new box.

the new boxes are far more capable - i already explained some of that to u in himedia thread.

in addition, yr sharp androidtv can also do some of these newer apps nicely.

just that androidtv may need a bit more work for some apps, video+audio quality may not be as good as a box... depends what box.
