I bought this and put upstairs, it can help sometime but not much, sometime will dc as well.
One common mistake is to place the WiFi hotspot downstairs. You should have install it upstairs at the first place, even with TM's lousy DIR-615 it wouldn't be as bad as it is now. Anyone can help in this situation? Like should I buy any repeater or something else to solve it..?

It is better you consider HomePlug to connect the router from downstairs to an access point upstairs. There are HomePlugs with built in WiFi that you can consider too.
