You install the game, go through two tutorials to understand the interface and get used to some graphics. Then, watch a dota overview created by valve where the Sniper will eventually 2~3 shot everyone on the enemy team(must have like 3 divine rapiers or something) then start playing a few bot games to get used to how the heroes look like.

I was playing with some of my quite beginner friends in dota 2, since they had experience in dota 1 we fought hard bots.

Is it just me or did the hard bots became much easier than I remembered?

They were never hard doh.gif

The difference between each difficulty is their response time, with unfair takes 0 second to respond.

I don't know, I remember laning mid against a drow/viper is pretty rough. They had great last hitting timing and the moment you get into their attack range they'd insta orb attack you without drawing aggro from creeps of course though, only if you were playing a melee/low range hero it'd be rough.

But are you sure they haven't became stupider? I saw one of my friends practiced against hard bots, he was basically playing an RPG like the Skeleton King from Purge Casts a Pub Ep 17(ironically he was on the Radiant and top lane as well), and he still won. He never left the lane except to go back and heal and he didn't spend gold until he saved up to 6k.
