Why are all the attractive postpaid plans for flagship models always more than RM100

QUOTE(cskean @ Sep 24 2013, 06:53 PM) Guys, need some opinion... Since you won't be in Msia often, perhaps you should just get it outright. Try your luck tomorrow getting the RM1888 deal... or the RM1999 one. Else RM2199 isn't too bad too.Should I sign up SurfMore 50, 12mth @ RM 1999 or SurfMore 75, 12mth @ 1699? I won't be using it to call or online most of the time, unless during my holiday back to Malaysia, which is about 2 month once. And the stay will be around 14 days per return... If SM 50, I will save RM 200 (2199-1999) whereby SM 75 I will save RM 500 (2199-1699). But SM 75 I need to pay extra RM 25 each month which is RM300 in 12 months. But I will be having 5GB of data... My DG68 unlimited plan, the most data I ever utilised was less than 1GB over the period... When you're back in Msia, just subscribe to Maxis Hotlink prepaid. They have revised their monthly plan. Only RM30 for 1GB. You mentioned yourself you hardly use mobile data too |

QUOTE(PainHacker @ Sep 24 2013, 10:06 PM) dissapointed with the maxis plan.. oh god... why dont have Value Plus Internet plan.. im not a heavy user for calling, texting and messaging. And the talkmore78.. do i need to pay extra 78 ringgit to 3gb internet? Read carefully. You HAVE to pay an extra of RM68/month for the 3GB Mobile Data. Total monthly commitment is RM146/month Cheapest among the three plants is of course the Surfmore 75 for now. 5GB data and call/sms PAYU. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 25 2013, 10:12 AM) Just received my black unit from superbuy. Well, that sucks?Immediate impression : build quality average n the back faux leather is so horrible yucky!!! I prefer the original Note2 back anytime And the phone is noticeably n obviously warmer than my XZU. Bootup is amazingly fast I really hate my SIII overheating all the time, just browsing the web using Wifi and it's already warm and uncomfy, even with a case on, you can still feel it. How is the warmth compared to SIII? |

QUOTE(face @ Sep 25 2013, 11:52 AM) Faster does not equal higher temperatures...It's all due to the architecture of the chipset and the manufacturing process to produce more power efficient CPUs and reduce heat. Cooling design is also another factor. Besides, a bigger chasis will help dissipate more heat due to larger surface area for the heat to escape into the air QUOTE(Xirality @ Sep 25 2013, 11:53 AM) Iphone 5: 112 gramsNote III : 168 grams Yes. Bigger surface area reduces pressure on your hands. This gives the illusion of the iPhone 5 being "lighter" Pressure = Force/Area This post has been edited by -kytz-: Sep 25 2013, 11:59 AM |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Sep 25 2013, 12:32 PM) Care to check for black levels? Interested to know if the black levels are as good or better than the S4 Or how about white balance of the screen? If you have a colour calibrated monitor, best to compare with that |

Note III reminds me of the SII I used to have. The chrome lining at the side of the phone is very prone to scratches

QUOTE(destEX @ Sep 25 2013, 08:40 PM) WTB: I remember there was a discussion about the Estoc 3M in the SII thread, did anyone actually compared whether SGP is better or the Estoc 3M?gooding sp (hybird high transparency + fingerprint resistant) like 3M flip cover that works with s-view gooding dock 64GB class 10 ultra Btw, you can also look for oleophobic SP...just that there were previous reports that the layer will wear off after some time. But transparency is supposed to be very good and minimum fingerprint. |

QUOTE(joytest @ Sep 25 2013, 08:43 PM) You can get a good 64Gb from LYP. 3M SP is supposed to rival SGP and some say it is better. But it's from Korea and seems like no one is actually importing them over here Where can you get a 3M SP ? May I suggest that the correct term "good" or "excellent" be used in place of "gooding". |

QUOTE(PainHacker @ Sep 25 2013, 11:23 PM) im looking a good and high quality screen protector, what brand provide good display and anti scratch? Usually I using cheap sp but I might going to use this phone for 5 years so looking for better protection that can stand that long. Manage to search Nillkin and spigen sp but i dont know whether it is very good quality or not Go for Spigen aka SGP or Estoc 3M (Need to bulk import from Korea). The SGP Ultra Crystal is pretty durable, almost 1 year of using it, it only have some scratches which are quite monitor. I believe this SP can easily last 1-2 years before needing to replace them Oh, prepare to pay around RM100 for either of those. |

QUOTE(yoyoan @ Sep 25 2013, 11:26 PM) Got brand or tarak brand? If tarak brand, it's highly likely those RM0.50 per piece SP. Sell it at RM15, damn high profit margin lol.I've seen some SPs being sold on lelong.com.my in bulk which are pretty cheap. RM2-3 per piece. But for other phones lah |

QUOTE(PainHacker @ Sep 25 2013, 11:38 PM) Does the ultra crysta sp effect the HD display on note 3? how about armor casing? i found that there are many cases out there, UAG, otterbox and also spigen Ultra Crystal is the clear type. Ultra Optics is the half clear half matte type aka hybrid. And there's also the full matte. My experience using Ultra Optics was that while it does a decent job of reducing finger prints, it's definitely not as clear as Ultra Crystal. And after a while the coating seems to have worn off and you can see the mark left behind As for cases, I wouldn't go for something too bulky (except if it's a flip case). Something like the SGP range would be nice |
